My friend stayed at Holiday Willow Grove. The place is nice for those who can live independently. I thought that he could, but he couldn't. I had to stay there the whole time and my main thing was just trying to get him in Charlotte. So it was a good thing and a bad thing. The good thing was they had an opening where I could bring him here. So I did, but when I got here, I found out that due to his health, his illness, and his dementia, it wasn't for him. I don't know anything, like when they tell you independent living or skilled whatever. I don't know what none of that meant. All I know is I need a place. Then the discharge nurse, we all wonder, the caseworker, "Do you think he can live there?". So the case we're going to have to say yes can because they knew that he had been in that hospital so long. It's a very nice place, very friendly, warm, and the seniors that live there, they're very cordial, nice and all very secure and everything. For someone independent, I give them a good rating, however, it wasn't good for him because he needs skilled nursing, but I didn't know. They said they had a person who could come, give them their meds and some lady or whatever, and that's nice, but I don't know how that works. She says she comes and can give people their meds to remind them and they have to pay her independently. I mean, that's fine, but it's a nice place for people who can be independent and can afford it and everything. She brought one meal to him that afternoon. She brought it to the room and he enjoyed the food. Their business managers, lease managers, administrators, clerks, or whatever are always very attentive. When they see you, they always greet you. They're very courteous and kind and willing to help you if you're just walking up the hall or if you walk coming out in the transportation vans. They're very professional and very nice. The room and everything was clean when we got there. There's nothing like trash or dust or dirt. Everything was always clean and neat. They were the only ones that I was able to find to get him in, and it was just a studio. So from my understanding, all of them are expensive, but to be honest, I would give them a five star because they will be more reasonable and you get the same thing as well that you get real nicely. They give you that same respect or the same type of class.

The best part about Holiday Willow Grove was that it was as close as I could get to my home down here in North Carolina. I liked the overall cleanliness and the central spaces. I thought they were good and well-positioned. What I didn't like that would have been a disincentive for my father is there's no in-room laundry. The staff seemed very good and very engaged. They knew their facility and they knew their product. It was very clean. It's recently been remodeled, so I would have expected it to be clean. It is a three-floor facility, which at this point is a disincentive. The atmosphere was airy and open. The entryway had very high ceilings and lots of light in the central area.

Holiday Willow Grove was very clean. It looked like a five-star hotel when you entered the lobby. I drove around the facility, and everything was very clean. It was just exquisite. Right away, I thought my brother would not fit there. It's very expensive, too. And there was not a lot of diversity in terms of different races. However, the person who gave the tour was amazingly helpful. He explained to me the different types of facilities and programs. He was very warm and extremely professional.

We went to Holiday Willow Grove 3 times to look at it. We liked everything about this facility, and my friend was really interested in it. Chad was the one who assisted us with the visits and he was nice. We also met some of the staff. They were very informative and they helped us a lot. Their facilities were excellent for what my friend was looking for.

We met the person in charge at Holiday Willow Grove and she was very nice in showing us around. It's a very, very nice and clean place. Everybody was very cordial and friendly. The staff and the residents seemed happy and liked it there. They had a library, a courtyard, and all the amenities. It was a very secure area.

I liked Holiday Willow Grove. The people were especially friendly. It was very nice. I felt that for the price, they offered a lot of services because they were independent plus. They were in the process of a renovation, so everything was going to be updated. It was very nice to hear. It was just too far away from my home. They had housecleaning services. They had services to doctors and shopping. They even said because it was a little far away for me, that they would bring my mom to my house at times. I thought that was very accommodating. Everybody that I saw on the tour was very friendly, including the person in the office. I thought the pricing was reasonable for an independent plus.

We visited the Holiday Willow Grove and it was good. We enjoyed the visit, but I don't think it's the place for us. It's a lovely place and we liked it. It's fairly close to the area where we would like to be, but it's a little more independent living than we're going to need. I thought there would be more help there if you needed it but it is just like senior independent living, and they don't offer anything above that. The staff who gave the tour was excellent. Their rooms were more like small apartments. I didn't see a whole lot of activities going on, I didn't feel like there was very much of that. But they offer three meals a day and that was a good thing. There were places to walk and there was a common area, but they were still doing construction and remodeling. So there were parts of it that we really couldn't see very well. Overall, they did a great job with the tour.

We liked Holiday Willow Grove, and were very satisfied with it. It was open and airy. I liked the dining area. The room itself was a pretty good size for a studio and it has a balcony, which is great. The bathrooms were very accessible. The showers were accessible for my mom. There was also a salon there. The studio room has a refrigerator, a small counter space, and cabinets. The staff was very helpful, very friendly, very informative, very professional, and knowledgeable. We tried the food and it was okay. They had a screened-in porch area which was cute. There were sidewalks all around the area, and there was also a gazebo.

If someone is looking for a caring place, Holiday Willow Grove would be ideal. But if someone is looking for independent living and their parents are active, it's not the place. It gives you more of a nursing home feel. The care in place is something that we haven't seen anywhere else, so that is a great feature that they have going for them. The thing that bothered me most was that the facility was extremely outdated. I felt like I was walking into a 1970s time lapse. They had no exercise facility. They only had two exercise bikes at the end of the hallway. The staff was great. I have no negative things to say about her. She was awesome. But there was a mousetrap in the bathroom and dead bugs in the bedroom. The unit itself was extremely dirty. She told my parents that someone had died there recently, and I didn't like that. My parents didn't need to hear that. The holes in the wall were fine. I would have liked for them to have vacuumed the floors and cleaned them up a little bit for the tour, but they didn't do that.

I visited Willow Grove. I liked the size of the apartments and they had nice patios. It was clean. The people were friendly. It was all independent and for me it was a downfall looking for my mother, knowing that she would eventually need more care. The staff was very friendly and very informative. I brought mom after I went and she liked it, too. She didn't stay for lunch or anything. She went and met some of the other residents that she related to and they were very friendly and she liked some of the other people there. There was nothing that we wanted her to have that they didn't have. It was a smaller facility, but that's fine. Sometimes, it's an advantage. There was some workout equipment on a smaller scale. They had a beauty salon. All of the apartments had patios, and they had raised beds for the residents to use if they wanted to do some of their own gardening. They had a paved walking trail around the entire building. Mom almost moved in there, but she changed her mind at the last minute. It was nothing against the place. It was just her willingness to move.

I went to Willow Grove. The staff was wonderful. The apartment itself, it's like 15 or 20 years old. I don't think there have been any updates at all. The kitchen was not a kitchen. It was just a kitchen sink and a refrigerator. The staff was so nice. They did everything to make it pleasant. It just felt like you'd known them for a long time and were friends; they were very nice. That food was very good and a lot more than I would have ever fixed for myself. They have a movie room.

I had a good tour at Willow Grove. It was nice. It looks very peaceful, very clean, and the residents appeared to be happy. The rooms were OK and Craig was very helpful in answering all of our questions. Someone was there singing holiday songs when we were there.

Willow Grove seemed to be a very clean, friendly, and healthy place to live. The staff was wonderfully positive and friendly, and she appeared to love what she did. It looked like a very good home for people at different stages in life and a wonderful place to live. They seemed to really care about their clients. Everything was clean and well kept.

My aunt has been in Willow Grove for a year now, and she loves it. It's extremely kept up and clean. They have really good security, and her apartment is very nice. The whole place is just beautiful. The food is good for the most part. She says some days are not as good as the others, but it's edible, and some days it's really good. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They're very personable people. Right now with Covid, they're not doing anything as much as get-togethers and things like that. They have game nights, entertainment for holidays, and they allow you to have a pet if you desire to. They have quite a few activities. They have a hair salon on-site, and they have a washing machine and a dryer on each floor.

My friend likes Willow Grove because there's a pond and a turtle and she likes nature. If everything goes well, hopefully I will have her over there soon. We've been over there about three times. They have suggested though that she needs assisted living. She needs some help with her medications, but she knows which medication is which. The staff was very friendly and very professional. We both fell in love with them. The facade was beautiful. We got so excited when we saw the pond. It was very clean, we didn't smell anything, and the layout was wonderful. We would've tasted the food if we had gotten to go to the Oktoberfest, but I was busy with work. The grounds looked beautiful.

My visit to Willow Grove was great. They were all friendly. Several people stopped and talked to me to see if I had any questions. It was a beautiful facility. They showed me a couple of different sized rooms, talked about some activities that my mom could be involved with, and any questions I had with the cost. They told me that if she were to travel, she could go to another Willow Grove while she's visiting somebody else. They were great.

I loved Willow Grove. It was nice. It was a lovely place. I enjoyed everything. I'm trying to get my VA benefits because I don't make enough to move there right now. That's the problem. I didn't see a lot of people because of the virus. A lot of them were in their rooms. They gave us a free lunch and it was delicious. It's totally different than where I'm living now. The rooms are a lot smaller. You basically just get a room, a place where you walk through the kitchen, and then you go to your bedroom. You gotta get used to a smaller area, but there would be more activities. Your rent is a lot higher, too. You're jumping to $2,195 over there a month, and that's a big difference, even though you get three meals. I would like to move into Willow Grove, but I would have to get assistance from the VA. Other than that, everything is fine. It's a comfortable place. They got more activities The staff was nice. I met about three or four staff members in the office and then a lady who took me on a tour. They treated me nicely. Everything seemed lovely. I got to meet two other people who lived there and they were nice. They treated me well, especially the lady who took me on tour. She was really good. She toured me around and she showed me everything. She was really nice. They served the best fish I ever had. The food was good. It was delicious. I would like to go back over there for another meal. Everything looked good to me. It looked clean. The rooms were just smaller. I wasn't able to see that many people. Everybody was in their rooms because of the virus going on. I saw people outside walking around. The place was nice and clean. They have a chapel, a library, and different stuff that we don't have here. They take you to doctors' appointments and they take you shopping. If you need it, you go to the office and tell them what you need. You got better attention there. The extra money you pay is worth it. Everybody loves the food. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The woman who showed us around Willow Grove was very accommodating, friendly, and delightful. We didnt like the meal times because they're very different to our current lifestyle. It also was very expensive. They had a craft area, a very nice library, and areas for game playing. The place was newer and well-decorated. It would appeal to people who want nice things and are willing and able to pay for it.

My mom was in Willow Grove, and it was wonderful. The only thing they need to work on is their bus because when they take their trips, something always happens to it. Other than that, the place was beautiful. They should change the cook because the food was so bland, and the hallways could have been neater. The people were so warm and welcoming, and the staff was absolutely wonderful, on top of the people who reside there, and kind to my mother.

I posted a review regarding Willow Grove and apparently has been removed. My mother lived there over two years. This past January (2017) we moved her to another place. This was due to changes not for the better. The housekeeping was deplorable , menu never accurate or they ran out of what was on the menu. Administration put in to place " new rules" as to snacks, drinks carried to residents rooms and even where in the lobby ( which is supposed to be living area) that residents could sit! When management was no longer on site evenings and nights, safety was a concern. Best decision ever when we moved her.

I visited Willow Grove for my grandmother. It was very nice. It was up-to-date. It was very modern and elegant-looking for the dining room. We had a meal for lunch. It wasn't just one set entrée. You had a choice of several entrées and vegetables. Everybody was very personable. The managers who took us around to show us the different styles and size of rooms were very pleasant, friendly, and answered our questions. I was very impressed, but I just don't know if my relative's long-term care will be accepted there because it is more of a retirement community than assisted living. What my relative needs more than anything is socialization, and they have wonderful activities on a daily basis. They have a big calendar in their elevator that says all their activities. They have some exercise classes, arts and crafts, and bingo. They have travel vans that will take them out to different things and take them to appointments if you put them down on a schedule they had. Also, the rooms were very roomy in comparison to one that I looked at.

I am currently in Willow Grove and they do have their own apartment. I am in a one-bedroom unit, but they have two-bedroom units. It’s a three-story building and my only regret is that I’m on the third floor and they only have one elevator that’s in the middle of the building. They did provide three meals a day in the dining room and the food is Southern cooking which I’m not used to, but it’s not bad. The staff was very good and they all worked together to look after the residents. There are certain activities during the day like card games, Bingo, and field trips. They have people come in and sing or entertain the residents. I’m happy with what I have now.

I've been staying at Willow Grove for three years now. My two daughters have chosen this place for me. It's very close to my second daughter. It's one of the smaller facilities. I have a two bedroom that I locked into at the same price as a one-bedroom. I have osteoporosis and I broke my spine by a fall, so I'm stuck here for the time being. We have three chef-prepared meals a day, and there's usually a second choice. They do pretty well, breakfast is the best. The staff is very agreeable. I have my cats; they allow pets and that's really nice.
