My mother-in-law stayed here for a 30-day respite before going home after being in the hospital. Six months later she could no longer live alone. She chose to return to New Hope because none of the other communities she looked at came close to offering everything they do - from the theater to the dining to the activities. New Hope is an excellent community!

I liked New Hope Valley Retirement Community very much. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The facilities were clean and very well-kept. They had lots of opportunities for residents' interaction with each other, with the staff, and with the outsiders coming in to provide entertainment and stimulation. I thought they were very good. I liked the convenience of the location for us. For the independent living residents, they allow cars in, if they can drive/if they wish to, but they also have services to transport the residents to doctors, shopping, and things like that. I liked that my dad could go into independent living and then seamlessly transition into assisted living without moving. He could stay in the same apartment. I also liked that they had three or four different styles and sizes of apartments. The ones we saw were very good as well. They were quite roomy. I thought it would be an excellent choice.

My grandma needed a community on a very short notice before a surgery and they accommodated her very quickly and made it a very smooth transition for my family. She also then returned after the surgery through the end of her life. The care staff was very compassionate and caring. Their response times were very quick compared to other communities based on experience. The staff there take the time to care and get to know all the residents. My grandma loved the food and loved getting to know the residents and the socialization that they offer including the friday happy hour which included live music. My family used to come and eat with her because they all loved the dining experience and the food. Staff was very helpful during a difficult time and made a very stressful situation a lot easier. The fact that it was an all inclusive model was very nice so then no matter how much care she needed the price wasn't going to increase.

My impression of New Hope Valley West when I walked in was that it was like a hotel. The apartment I saw there was bigger than I thought and was very nice. There was a lot of space in there. The staff who gave me the tour was also nice. I wasn't really that impressed, it was just alright. We walked through a whole building, there were 2 people in the movie theater and some people setting up in the dining area, but I saw nobody else. It was a big and spread out place, I didn't really like that one, but it was clean. It's unlike the other community I've been to where when you walk in, there were people everywhere coming and going. In this place, it was like walking into the lobby of a hotel where there was nobody around and even in the activities area, it was so blah.

We really liked New Hope Valley West's assisted living side. The layout was great and we loved the way it was set up (their programs and everything). This is where we're leaning for our mom to go to. The two girls who gave us the tour were very helpful and very nice. We sent them an email saying that we liked the community. Their apartments were very nice, they were very clean, and very nice. There were different programs that were nice and kept the people active, plus they had a workout room and other amenities.

Our parents moved into NHV Center Road assisted living in October 2017. it was emotionally difficult moving our parents from the home they had lived in for 50 years. However, they acclimated quickly due to a very caring staff and friendly fellow residents. Our mom passed after 7 months so we moved dad into a smaller room next door in NHV West. So we have experienced the compassionate caregivers in both buildings. Our dad has made friends who he shares activities with such as playing cards, exercising, playing pool, taking walks, sharing mealtime conversation, watching movies, and going off campus on trips. Independence is emphasized even in assisted living so our dad does everything he is capable of on his own. As he needs more assistance, he will be given that. Our family would highly recommend NHV for anyone looking for independent or assisted community living.

I visited a friend at New Hope Valley Retirement Community. It's nice, very clean, and new, so the accommodations are very nice. I have no complaints. I just was not that impressed with how some of the people treated the residents. They have jigsaw puzzles and entertainers come in. Her room is nice, but small, and because it's newer, it feels nice. She said the food is good.

My cousin-in-law has moved into New Hope Valley. They have very caring people. The food is excellent. It's the best facility that you could possibly find. They have so many levels of care. If she should need more care, you don't have to yank her out of some place and put her some place else. Physically, it's a very beautiful place.

New Hope Valley was great. Everything and the staff members were wonderful. There was nothing wrong with the place at all. It was a little pricey for my aunt. I liked the amenities. They had a lot of things for the seniors to do, like a movie theater and a lot of good social things going on. They were very nice.

I really like the staff at New Hope Valley., They are always there for you. They will do anything to make you happy. The food is really good here. It is beautiful here. I especially like the waterfalls. The people who live here are fun. We enjoy our activities together. My family likes it here too. They enjoy visiting. And they don't have to worry about me. They know that I am safe here.

New Hope Valley offers a Home. Loneliness – Can’t hide here among the love, comfort, and security that surrounds the exquisite Valley. Friendship stands her ground – Everyone is welcome. Comfort hears your sorrows, and acquaints herself with prayers in the Chapel. The Retirees now face a New Day with Hope – in the Valley now called Home. Exquisite on the outside and inside as well. I can say it’s the Land of Milk and Honey!

My Dad has been living here for 5 months and we do not have a single complaint! He is happy, content and safe living here. They have all kinds of daily activities. The entire staff is ALWAYS warm,, kind, considerate, gracious, and caring. When I went out of state for 10 days, I didn't worry about him at all, because I knew they would all look after him! Also the food is fantastic! Having him move to New Hope Valley was the best decision we made as a family!

The room at New Hope Valley Retirement Community looks very nice inside; I like the upgrade. The person that assisted us was very friendly. I know they go on group outings and pick berries in season, but they also have somebody come in and work with the folks for small activities. The dining area looks very nice. The food looked good.

New Hope Valley has a new program, it's quite spacious, the nice rooms are all one level, and they have good protection, but they didn’t seem to have what we wanted. They represented themselves well. They gave us a good tour, and they have good people; it’s just wasn’t for us.

I think New Hope Valley Retirement Community was just opening up. It gave me a very cold feeling. It wasn’t fully decorated yet because they were just opening up, so things weren’t fair. I didn’t feel comfortable. The facility was big, but it wasn’t fully decorated because they were opening up. We went into the dining room and had cookies and a drink. The dining room just had tables and tablecloths. It was very clean. I didn’t see many of the rooms. I didn’t care for this place. I just didn’t feel comfortable. It didn’t have a homey feeling. The one who was supposed to give me the tour did not show up. He was busy doing something else, so I had a couple of substitutes, and I don’t think they really knew what was going on. It was just not a good experience for me.
