"Riverside Place was nice, and my dad was pleased with it. It's an independent living, and they have their own apartments. We will be choosing this place because we like the location. The staff we had an interaction with were very kind and helpful. My father was impressed with how nice and clean the facility was. The staff was very friendly. He was happy that they offer a type of card game that he likes to play. They have a variety of activities, and one was his favorite. The neighborhood is very nice, and he would have access to various activities in the downtown neighborhood. The facility itself is very nice. The residents were very friendly. They spoke to my father and that made him feel welcome."

"My grandmother just passed away; she had been living at Colonial Villa about seven years. She and my family loved it there. The staff is incredibly helpful, nice, supportive, etc. And in her final days she was taken care of so beautifully, and with such care and devotion. I’m so grateful to have had caretakers that made this place a real home to her and my family. Highly recommend!"

"Our parents moved into NHV Center Road assisted living in October 2017. it was emotionally difficult moving our parents from the home they had lived in for 50 years. However, they acclimated quickly due to a very caring staff and friendly fellow residents. Our mom passed after 7 months so we moved dad into a smaller room next door in NHV West. So we have experienced the compassionate caregivers in both buildings. Our dad has made friends who he shares activities with such as playing cards, exercising, playing pool, taking walks, sharing mealtime conversation, watching movies, and going off campus on trips. Independence is emphasized even in assisted living so our dad does everything he is capable of on his own. As he needs more assistance, he will be given that. Our family would highly recommend NHV for anyone looking for independent or assisted community living. "

"My mom moved into New Hope Bay, and it's cool. The staff is friendly, and my mom likes the place enough, and she's only been there three weeks, but it's still hard for her to be away from her home. There's a front building that's separate, that is independent living. People can come and go, and there are garages and things like that. The main building is assisted living, and when you walk in there's a big dining area. There are two separate wings off to the side and those were memory care. I know they do exercises, they have movies, they do cards and bingo."

"The facility has just gone through a beautiful renovation. It is lovely and so comfortable for the residents, The rooms are so comfortable having their own bathrooms and little kitchen areas. I did not eat there, but the food always smelled delicious and I know they gave the residents what they wanted and special treats. The staff were all so wonderful and caring to my sister-in-law while she was there. She was not always easy to care for, but they stayed on top of her needs. The had fun and creative activities for the residence, from music, doing their nails, tea parties, happy hour, and special crafts for holidays. There are outdoor places to sit and the staff often will have special activities or treats outdoors. Mt. Pleasant is a nice town with many restaurants and activities with the college right there."

"My mother is at The Brook of Gladwin. It's a community housing with the standard amenities. They get meals in the dining rooms, and they have elective activities for them. The staff provides assistance with bathing and getting her out of bed. I talked extensively with the administrator, and I have a really comfortable feeling that she manages things well. The staff morale is good, and they're patient. They take care of the patients, they understand what their duties are, and they're professional. They do what needs to be done, but they're truly kind. They treat patients with respect and not all of those kinds of organizations perform that well. I'm very comfortable with how The Brook is doing. Her room is kind of a suite. They have meetings where they sing songs together and have stretching exercises for everybody. They have bingo and card playing. They have a beauty salon."
