My sister is in Washington Wood. The grounds are very nice. It's in a kind of wooded area, so it's very pleasant. The public areas are very nice. They seem to have a lot of activities for the people. They get their daily lunch and meal from Monday through Friday. They have some church services. I haven't dealt with the staff except initially, and they seemed friendly enough.

Washington Wood had pretty much everything that my parents needed. They have a beauty salon, and a place where they can get labs. They can eat food in one of the restaurants or in their own place. They have different sized apartments, they have laundry rooms on the same floors, and elevators. It was a really nice setup. Everything they wanted was right there for them. The staff seemed very nice and friendly. They have people that go around and check on you. They'll call you a couple of times and if you don't answer they'll come and check on you. There's a maintenance guy that will come and do things for you too.

We're every satisfied with Washington Woods. They have a caring environment and good social interaction. I love that they had a very affordable option. Everything they have is very nice. They don't have everything available but what they have has been very good, and they're very friendly. The staff is excellent and my parents have been very pleased with the food.
