The structure of the building is good, and it appears to be relatively clean. It feels homey, and there are plenty of places for people to go to watch TV or play games."

"My brother is a resident. So far the people there are very nice and accommodating and they seem to get along with what they do, but most importantly, he seems to like it there. I like it too -- it's in Bay city and it's small -- there's not a lot of clients there. I live in California and when I called them, they answered my questions. They have a salon and they do bingo. So far, I am satisfied with the care they provide."

"Our relationship w/ Arbor Grove (AG), Alma, Michigan, began in July, 2024, when our loved one in concert w/ immediate family, agreed that we begin taking steps to identify ideal Memory Care destinations, ‘for a leg up,’ when that time came. Our need was not perceived as immediate but seriously exploratory. AG had a sterling reputation in central Michigan, so we connected w/ the AG Community Specialist. This started our fourteen month relationship. Following the obligatory introductory and informational exchanges, our AG contact provided total onsite immersion into their facility. No stone was left unturned, then and in follow up. We found AG ideal for our loved one and jumped at the chance to join the AG waiting list for the future. Tendering the initial deposit along with personal data gave us a strong sense of relief and security. AG through the Community Specialist stayed in regular touch, offering opportunities for our loved one to visit and acclimate through sensory exposure. (Phenomenal cookouts). When the time came to take a giant step forward, our contact was there for us. Unfortunately, when we reached the tipping point, there were no available vacancies in Memory Care. To their great credit, our contact connected us with another StoryPoint facility co-highest w/ AG. We will be forever grateful to our AG friend for holding our hand throughout the daunting process of finding that ideal destination for a loved one. "Cascades is everything that one looks for in memory care. With a full time nurse who specializes in memory care they have been able to meet a much higher level of care than other local facilities. There prices are very comparable and in most cases they are lower than others. They work with Veteran's Aide & Attendance, The Michigan Waiver Program as well as long term care insurance. The nurse Krystyna is available 24 hours a day to answer any questions that we may have regarding our loved ones care. The facility is very clean and never has any harsh odors. The staff are very caring and compassionate and know just how to interact with all of the residents. Cascades offers a unique approach to care- Resident Centered Care, allowing aging in place. What we have learned this means that they have a good understanding of memory care and that not two memory care patients are the same. Each resident's care is designed for them from shower time, to meals and activities. Cascades resident's are so much more than just a number. They really are a member of the family, we could not imagine having our loved one anywhere else. We will tell everyone how amazing it is. "

"I visited The Caring Place. It was a very clean and a beautiful place. It had a non-evictus facility. It was probably a 10-room flat, and it was a house converted into a facility. My mom was on a waiting list there because it was a nice place and it was a small group home, so I thought my mom would be cared for a lot better. They had small rooms, and they don't have a private bathroom, but it was located just outside the room. They had home cooked meals which I really loved because where she's at right now, she doesn't had many home cooked meals. It had a pretty yard. They were watching TV and chatting with one another, and they weren't really weren't doing any doing activity at that time that I visited. "

"Colonial Villa was very nice. I like it. It was nice and clean. I like the rooms and the layout. It appealed to me, and the price was good. They have big rooms. Food was good too. "

"My father moved in to Stratford Pines. The place is fine. The staff is great, and they do a nice job taking good care of him. They have exercise every single day, music, church services, different craft-type activities, and so on. The place is very clean. Everything is very expensive, but for the quality of care my dad is getting, it's good."

"My wife has been in Plainview Assisted Living for eight months now. It's two miles from my house, so I can get there very quickly. I come and see my wife every day for an hour or two. Plainview Assisted Living is a fabulous place. I have never seen a better place. They have a beautiful yard and three different-sized rooms. The large rooms are very big. My wife is wheelchair-bound so she doesn't participate in any of the activities, but they have different musicians come in and exercise classes in the morning. The food is awesome and the pricing is ridiculously low. I love this place. Their employees are the most caring that you could ask for. The whole staff is absolutely impeccable."

"Our mom spent a year at Auburn Fields and we were very happy with her care. She ended up needing a lot more care than we expected as her health declined, but we were always comfortable that she was loved and well taken care of. The facility is nice and well maintained. There were regular activities for the residents, and they always appeared to have fun together. But more importantly, the staff treated our mom with the love and compassion that we couldn't during the COVID lockdown. Highly recommended."
