"My brother is a resident. So far the people there are very nice and accommodating and they seem to get along with what they do, but most importantly, he seems to like it there. I like it too -- it's in Bay city and it's small -- there's not a lot of clients there. I live in California and when I called them, they answered my questions. They have a salon and they do bingo. So far, I am satisfied with the care they provide."

"What I like about Bickford of Saginaw is that it seems nice and bright. The staff are friendly, and they mostly serve home-cooked food. The structure of the building is good, and it appears to be relatively clean. It feels homey, and there are plenty of places for people to go to watch TV or play games."

"My mom is in Linwood Residence, she's in a state that's not well. She's getting the best care possible, but she does not recognize me and don't know what's going on. She doesn't communicate at all; I haven't seen her in 6 weeks and I can't talk to her. They won't let us in because of the governor. The staff are very caring people, and they go out of their way to help do what they can. She's in a better home before, because she was living in a home that only had 6 ladies with dementia, but they're closed."

"My wife is at Eden Fields Assisted Living and Memory Care. The reason we picked that one was because it's close to the daughter's home and my son's home, and so she could see our grandson more. After getting in there, she likes the people she's working with. She likes her room. We got a room that's got an extra bedroom with that, and everything seems to be pretty good so far. We were in skilled nursing before and they were good, but it was noisy and she didn't sleep very well. At Eden Fields Assisted Living and Memory Care, it is better. The staff is good. The activities director has come down and worked with my wife to get her involved. She hasn't gotten into too many activities, but it seems like the rest of the residents get involved with it. They were doing ceramic painting and some type of gardening where they have a little garden that they can work with."

"I visited The Caring Place. It was a very clean and a beautiful place. It had a non-evictus facility. It was probably a 10-room flat, and it was a house converted into a facility. My mom was on a waiting list there because it was a nice place and it was a small group home, so I thought my mom would be cared for a lot better. They had small rooms, and they don't have a private bathroom, but it was located just outside the room. They had home cooked meals which I really loved because where she's at right now, she doesn't had many home cooked meals. It had a pretty yard. They were watching TV and chatting with one another, and they weren't really weren't doing any doing activity at that time that I visited. "

"My husband is in MidMichigan Stratford Village. This nursing home is part of the MidMichigan Hospital. It is very clean and I have no complaints with it. It is supposedly the best nursing home in the area. It is difficult to find a good place, so he was lucky to get in there. My husband is there because his situation has gone from bad to worse. He is not walking or feeding himself and he has just deteriorated pretty rapidly. However, he is getting good care there and they are definitely going out of their way to meet his needs. He has been there for a little over three weeks now and I think he is in a good place. "

"My mom has been a resident at Cascades for a year. The owners and staff are very caring, kind and compassionate. Her room is nice and large so we can have several visitors at once. The residents are wonderful. My mom does bible study with her friends every morning. They also have live music on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. The place is very clean and the food is homemade and very good. The menu is always different for a great variety for the residents. "Plainview Assisted Living is very nice. They take really good care of dad. He gets fed well and they find things for him to keep him busy. He enjoys doing group things and he likes it there. They have people come in and play music, they do exercises like throwing the ball around, and there's a person that comes in to do exercises with them. There are people that come in and do crafts, and there's somebody that comes in and cuts his hair or cuts his toe nails. The doctor comes in there, too. He's taken very well care of, and he doesn't even have to leave. With this Covid, he can't go anywhere anyway, and they won't let people in. They haven't had any cases, so they've been very fortunate. The staff is very nice, very helpful, and if you need some kind of help, they're always happy to help. My dad told me that he has a personal chef that makes him food. He loves the food there. It's clean, very nice, they decorate for all the seasons, and they include the people that live there. I can't say enough about the place. I'm very happy with it. Being that we have the Covid, it kinda limits things, but they do as much as they can with what they have. They still do crafts and stuff, and they bring in someone to do crafts with them. They paint pictures, they frost cookies, and decorate Christmas cookies. They keep them busy, they give them things to do to let them enjoy, so they're not just sitting there doing nothing."

"My mother is in King's Daughters Home, and they're very good. We've known them for years. Her apartment is adequate and the staff is good. We're happy and she's happy."

"After my Grandfather died, my grandmother could no longer manage the large house that she lived in. She was still pretty independent but needed some assistance. She moved into a one bedroom apartment at Cleveland Manor for the remainder of her life. The apartment was very well kept up by the maintenance staff. It looked like an upscale apartment. The landscaping around the complex is beautiful and calming. My grandmother had the ability to come and go as she pleased as their are private entrances to the apartments. My grandmother was able to bring her important possessions with her, including her beloved dog. There are many amenities at Cleveland Manor. There is a store, a salon, an exercise area, along with places to walk and sit on the grounds. There is someone on call 24 hours in case of needed maintenance. The rent is very reasonable and goes by income level. The staff is very nice and accommodating. This is a really nice place for anyone 62 or older who needs some assistance but is still independent. "

"My grandmother just passed away; she had been living at Colonial Villa about seven years. She and my family loved it there. The staff is incredibly helpful, nice, supportive, etc. And in her final days she was taken care of so beautifully, and with such care and devotion. I’m so grateful to have had caretakers that made this place a real home to her and my family. Highly recommend!"

"First thing my husband noticed was the cleanliness of the facility. Staff was was great. My father-in-law was only there for tow and a half months but they celebrated his 100th birthday! So very pleased with his healing and physical and occupational therapy. I will highly recommend them!"
