My grandmother is in The Colonnades. It is a great experience for her. She is very happy. We were concerned that she was not going to happy and she wasn't going to like it, but she really likes it. One of the big things is that she is more active, and they actually have outings, and she's enjoying going on outings. That is great too. I think the rooms are pretty big. It has a nice living area, a really big bathroom, and a really big separate bedroom. So, I think they are a good size for the price. She is a very picky eater and she says the food is very good. I picked her up one day and she was eating salmon, and they had apple cake and it looked really yummy. I didn't taste it, but it looked good. I think that the one thing that I like about The Colonnades is that it really brought back my grandmother's independence and her being able to go out in the community again because from last June until she was placed there, she wasn't able to go out as much. So, I really like the fact that she is able to go out and to the casino like she used to in the past. I think the atmosphere is great. It is very well kept up and very clean. It seems all the other residents are happy.
I do have one suggestion, and she complained about it one time. They can only take so many people who are in a wheelchair for outings, and she has to hurry up and rush to have her name on the list because there's always one person who's on the list before her.
