"My brother is a resident. So far the people there are very nice and accommodating and they seem to get along with what they do, but most importantly, he seems to like it there. I like it too -- it's in Bay city and it's small -- there's not a lot of clients there. I live in California and when I called them, they answered my questions. They have a salon and they do bingo. So far, I am satisfied with the care they provide."

"What I like about Bickford of Saginaw is that it seems nice and bright. The staff are friendly, and they mostly serve home-cooked food. The structure of the building is good, and it appears to be relatively clean. It feels homey, and there are plenty of places for people to go to watch TV or play games."

They have a variety of daily choices for meals, so there is always something for everyone. Daily activities and a bus for trips and appointments. Help with daily care can be added if needed. "My mom is in Linwood Residence, she's in a state that's not well. She's getting the best care possible, but she does not recognize me and don't know what's going on. She doesn't communicate at all; I haven't seen her in 6 weeks and I can't talk to her. They won't let us in because of the governor. The staff are very caring people, and they go out of their way to help do what they can. She's in a better home before, because she was living in a home that only had 6 ladies with dementia, but they're closed."

"I brought my mom to Huron Woods, post brain surgery. She was treated with dignity, as a person, with such compassionate loving care by ALL from the admitting person to the administrative director to nursing to maintenance. They spoke to her, thanked her, cleaned her gently, dressed her with love and made her "pretty" . What I noted most of all.... ALL patients were treated with the same compassion and care by ALL the staff. I can't thank them enough. They are a God send. Oh, yes..the facility is beautiful too. But most of all so are the people who work there. "

"My wife is at Eden Fields Assisted Living and Memory Care. The reason we picked that one was because it's close to the daughter's home and my son's home, and so she could see our grandson more. After getting in there, she likes the people she's working with. She likes her room. We got a room that's got an extra bedroom with that, and everything seems to be pretty good so far. We were in skilled nursing before and they were good, but it was noisy and she didn't sleep very well. At Eden Fields Assisted Living and Memory Care, it is better. The staff is good. The activities director has come down and worked with my wife to get her involved. She hasn't gotten into too many activities, but it seems like the rest of the residents get involved with it. They were doing ceramic painting and some type of gardening where they have a little garden that they can work with."

"The rooms were very nice. The staff was great especially the physical therapy! They did a great job with my father rebuilding his strength so he could come home."

"I visited The Caring Place. It was a very clean and a beautiful place. It had a non-evictus facility. It was probably a 10-room flat, and it was a house converted into a facility. My mom was on a waiting list there because it was a nice place and it was a small group home, so I thought my mom would be cared for a lot better. They had small rooms, and they don't have a private bathroom, but it was located just outside the room. They had home cooked meals which I really loved because where she's at right now, she doesn't had many home cooked meals. It had a pretty yard. They were watching TV and chatting with one another, and they weren't really weren't doing any doing activity at that time that I visited. "

"My husband is in MidMichigan Stratford Village. This nursing home is part of the MidMichigan Hospital. It is very clean and I have no complaints with it. It is supposedly the best nursing home in the area. It is difficult to find a good place, so he was lucky to get in there. My husband is there because his situation has gone from bad to worse. He is not walking or feeding himself and he has just deteriorated pretty rapidly. However, he is getting good care there and they are definitely going out of their way to meet his needs. He has been there for a little over three weeks now and I think he is in a good place. "

"My mom has been a resident at Cascades for a year. The owners and staff are very caring, kind and compassionate. Her room is nice and large so we can have several visitors at once. The residents are wonderful. My mom does bible study with her friends every morning. They also have live music on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. The place is very clean and the food is homemade and very good. The menu is always different for a great variety for the residents.
