"When my parents decided to move to Michigan from Florida to be closer to my family I researched 7 different independent facilities in the area. After choosing StoryPoint I can say that I could not be happier with the decision. The staff is very professional and welcoming. They took me on several tours and answered all my questions quite accurately. The facility is attractive and looks very well maintained. My parent’s apartment is bright and modern looking, as are the other apartments I have seen. Recently newly vacated apartments have had a full makeover, as have the hallways, the dining room and the laundry rooms. When my dad got ill the staff was warm and caring with my parents, often going out of their way to bring meals, set up rides to and from the hospital, and be supportive for my mom. It offered me great peace of mind! The staff I have interacted with are fantastic! From the rental agent to the social director to the chef and wait staff, I am confident that they go out of their way to make the daily activities of life fun, involving and engaging. They have also been extremely receptive to my being invited and involved, although I am not a resident! It is obvious that they care deeply about the community residents. I am so pleased with our choice of StoryPoint! I believe this is a wonderful home for my mom, who has made great best friends here. I highly recommend StoryPoint for people wanting an independent living community."

"I liked that while the rooms were enough space for the resident, they all opened right onto the common area, which encompassed dining, sitting, and recreational areas. Residents can choose to join into the community space when they desire. Staff are friendly and respectful with residents and family. Meals are restaurant quality and efforts are made to meet special meal considerations, such as allergies, and soft food items. Social activities include on site live music performances, also group activities like trivia, and devotionals, bingo."

"I'm living at Delta Retirement Center. The staff is wonderful, and the people who live here are very nice. I'm very pleased. They just got a new chef and the food is getting better and better. I have a wonderful apartment. They have a lot of activities. It's a wonderful value for what you're paying."

"Friendship Manor is a great place to live. O am over 70 and from the moment I applied they have been polite, helpful and patient. Secure building. Extreme!y helpful and caring staff. Have lived here for over a year and everything work order and concern has been handled within 24 hours of less. This winter has been a challenge and the sidewalks and parking are kept clean and safe. Even tho I am in the city, there is a beautiful area in the back for gatherings. One of best apartment I have ever lived in."

"I found Heritage Village Holt for my aunt. She loves it. They have a game room, TVs, puzzles, and they do crafts. They have a church there where they do services on Thursdays. It's nice that she can buy one meal a day, and then she just does breakfast and lunch herself. Overall, everybody is very nice. They're very friendly. She's very happy there. She talks more, and she gets out of her apartment and sits and talks to people. It's the best thing I ever did for her. The food is like $11 or something for a meal, and you can't do that at a restaurant. The staff is very, very nice. Everytime I go in there the place is nice and clean. She loves the activities, and that's all that matters to me. I know they do a bunch of craft stuff and she likes that. She shoots pool because they have a pool table."

"The tour I had at Great Lakes Christian Home was good. The appearance was good. They had a lot of activities for people by age group. The food was very good. I had a salad, fish, dessert, coffee, and water. It was a good meal. They've got a lounging area. When we were there, they were having an ice cream social outdoors. They've got a lot of things available. The assisted living was kind of a la carte. You pay for what you're supposed to need. They had laundry down the hallway. The kitchens weren't that big, and I still like to cook."

"We visited The Woodlands of Dewitt and Mom said there is no way. It was $5,700 a month. She didn't like anything about it. It was a nice place. She would have had great care there, but she did not like the room set up and she did not like the price. The staff was nice. Everything was brand new and so clean. The atmosphere was quiet and the few people that we ran into seemed to be pretty happy."

"I visited a friend at The Brook of Portland. It is very clean. It is decorated very nicely. It's very current. There's nothing old. All the smells were good, clean, and wonderful. They were having dinner at that time, and the food smelled good. Everybody waved and wanted to say hi to our friend. It is very pleasant. They're bright, happy people. My friend just moved there, so she is a new resident, but she'd lived in the area for a long time, so she knew a bunch of the other people there. Everybody is kind, nice, and helpful. They have a family type feel to it. It's lovely. The dining area is nice, open, and sunny."

"My mom is at Clinton Commons. She has been there for three and a half years now. It's very clean. Everybody has their own apartment. If you want to come down for a meal, you can. You pay per meal that you come down for. They give you a menu ahead of time, and you can choose if you want to come down or not. And they also have all a carte things like hamburgers, grilled cheese, and soup and all that stuff that you can get. They have limited entertainment just because of COVID going around. They have exercise and bingo four days a week. They have a coffee hour one day a week. When COVID is not around, they have movies on Saturdays. Everybody is super nice. The food is very good. Almost all are homemade. They have Bible studies. They have puzzles in different places in the building that you can work on. There are several lounges that different people meet in and visit."

"Fiddler's Green started as the only place I could find in the county that had Veteran's services and was willing to help my 92 year old grandmother and myself navigate the veterans benefits system and had housing options within her budget. Once we got there the Building was beautiful, as well as staffed with wonderful caring people. They have gone above and beyond for the care of my grandmother, and helping her get the services required for her to live comfortably into her later years. Their commitment to not only the safety but also happiness of their residents is inspiring. I have been honored to become a part of this amazing team of people who are working to enrich my grandmothers life as well as the lives of so many other people.
