StoryPoint East Lansing is an awesome community. My 95 year old mother has been there three years and really loves it. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained, but the real draw are the people, the staff and the residents. The staff is excellent. My mother considers many of the staff as friends. She tells me often how happy she is with her living arrangement. If there is any negative, it’s the food. However, this seems to be a complaint for most assisted living communities and, according to my mother, the food is improving. It’s not bad, it’s just not how she would prepare it. That aside, it really is an outstanding place.

Our mother was one of the first residents accepted into the Memory Care Unit when it opened in 2022 and lived there 3 years before she passed. We moved her from another facility and there wasn’t a day we regretted our decision. The staff was engaged, kind, caring and very attentive to the individual needs of each resident. While we visited her often, we were never worried about the care she was receiving when we could not be with her - peace of mind was a wonderful gift the Story Point staff gave us. The staff became family to us and our mother. The food was excellent with a variety of menu items. When our mother could no longer enjoy their normal meal, the staff along with the chef worked with us to come up with alternate and tasty solutions. The staff provided activities and entertainment for the residents to participate in which were appropriate to their skill level. The courtyard was easily accessible and residents were encouraged to spend time outside which they very much enjoyed. We recommend Story Point without hesitation if you are considering a senior living community for your loved one.

Everybody seems like a family there at StoryPoint Abbot Park. The staff interacts with the residents, and they all know them by name as they're walking by. Everybody seems happy and well cared for. The place is bright, cheery, clean, has no bad odors, and spacious. I feel like they treat the residents like humans, not just old people. My friend is going to be placed on Monday. I was there yesterday, looked the place over, and was very impressed. I've gone to several other assisted livings, and this one is outstanding. They gave me a tour of both memory care and assisted living and they're both wonderful, but right now probably memory care is where he'll go. One thing that stood out is that the restaurant is open from 7:00 to 7:00, as opposed to other assisted living where they have a certain time and if the elderly slept through the time, they don't get a meal. Here, you can come in anytime and order and eat up until 7:00, which I think is fabulous. Plus, I can go for $10 and have a lunch with him. The gentleman, Patrick, was the one that did the tour with me. He was very personable, didn't rush, and answered all my questions. We had a good time together. He was on top of everything and helping to facilitate this because my friend is in the hospital. They were right on it, moving everything forward to get this to happen quickly. Even the custodian walking by had a big smile. He stopped to talk to me, shook hands, and introduced himself. Everybody was nice. All the staff that I met was very congenial and happy. They didn't look like, "This is a dredge to be here at work." They enjoyed their job and they loved the residents, you could tell.

Everything at StoryPoint Abbot Park is top of the line. They have a huge number of facilities. They have more of a facility structure than other places. Even their record for their turnaround time on their staff is excellent. Like I've never seen a non-turnaround time on staff members in healthcare to the point where everyone is working and everyone is working together so well. Their physical therapy area with a lot of their MSU students are topnotch. They're able to answer any questions. If we send my father there they would be able to set up any single part that I need for his level of care. It was a great tour. There were studios and one-bedrooms. Their price is pretty high, but I understand based on the level of care they're offering. It is above most of the other facilities because it uses AI tracking, and it uses a lot of data to help. Plus, if someone falls, they will never be on the ground for too long, they would be getting care immediately. That's the only place I've seen that has a feature like that.

The staff in Provision Living at East Lansing was very kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They made my mom feel very comfortable. It's a new facility. It's very open. It's smaller, so it has a cozier feel. They had a nice dining area.

- Special Comment: Foresite Eldercare provides continuous, detailed predictive fall and health monitoring without compromising resident privacy and dignity. This makes it possible to determine an individual’s activities without revealing detailed characteristics, facial features or discrete body parts. Residents benefit from freedom and autonomy in a safe environment; families sleep easier knowing that Mom or Dad is always under the watchful eye of the Foresite Eldercare technology. Foresite Eldercare is a powerful tool for surfacing fall risks. The solution helps track health acuity levels over time rather than making judgments based on just one or two incidents. It also provides early warnings of decline. “When you see better, you know and do better.”
