"Everything about this facility is welcoming. The staff are always smiling and helpful. The food is amazing, they really take a lot of pride in trying to honor what every resident wants and I always try to come during lunch time so I can eat too. By far the one thing that stands out is the activity department. I have visited other friends in nursing homes and the activity department here is over the top and engaged."

"We've chosen Aria Nursing & Rehab for mom. Overall, it's OK. There may be a little understaffing but that's to be expected during the pandemic. Other than that, it seems alright. She didn't have any complaints about the food. Her legs broke, so she really can't do anything, but I know they have activities because she says she can hear them playing in the activity room. She's in the rehab part. The only problem that I had was getting through to her. We had to buy her a cell phone because they don't have phones in the room and if I had to leave a message or something like that for her, it took a pretty good amount of time to get her the message and for her to get back with me."

"My mother is in a nursing home at Holt Senior Care & Rehab Center. The nursing staff members have been excellent to my mother there. They treat her like family, and it's always very clean. When I go in there, they're always very prompt with letting me see her. My mother seems happy. I know that she was part of a singing group, and like a games group where they do games like cards and different games. Then there was another group that was like a music group. She's in a wheelchair, doesn't do dancing. But they listen to different music, so it was like music therapy. The food seems like just healthy food. She never really liked to eat, so the fact that she has gained weight while she was there is a really good sign that she's eating well. It's definitely worth the money."

"My father was a resident at the Tendercare West facility after a series of strokes. My mother was unable to keep him at home due to her working schedule and the lack of adequate help being able to stay in the home with him during her absence. I found the staff at Tendercare to be very kind, courteous and caring. They appeared to be knowledgable of my fathers medical condition, as well as him needs. They were also very helpful as far as training our family on the do's and donts as we were attempting to implement a plan to take him home. The facilty was up to date, clean and well staffed. My father is quite the picky eater and was thouroghly satisfied with the meals that were served. I was pleased with the fact that they also provided several activities for the residents and their families. Overall all I was genuinely pleased with the level of care provided at the facility. "

"My wife stayed in Regency. It was very nice, very clean, and almost like a new place. Everything was stellar. They did a very nice job when my wife was there for three weeks. The care was very good. I was quite impressed with it. The staff was very professional. The quality was excellent, so it's definitely worth it. My wife liked the food. I wasn't there during the activity period, but she seemed much more upbeat and smiley after she had gone through activities. She seemed really engaged and pleased. They were excellent."

"We were well taken care of at Dimondale Nursing & Rehab Center for my wife's rehab. The rooms were more aged but very adequate. They had everything; they had bingo, card games, they had an aquarium and birds, and they had a lot of activities. The food is very edible and the stuff is wonderful. They're too nice. The facility is aged but there's nothing wrong with it; it's a very adequate facility but it's not brand new."

"My mother was there about six months ago for about 4 months all together. Her saying was "if you have to be somewhere, it might as well be here!" She loved the large varity of activities daily, there seemed to always be something different to do (not just bingo and cards, although they did that too :)) all throughout the day. The gal's who ran the activities were very creative and kind with the residents, We were even able to attend mass in the building which was extremely helpful for mom. The physical therapy program she was on got her right up on her feet again and the staff that worked her hall were very nice, and did everything they could to make her feel at home. The room was quite large, and there were no visiting hours, which worked well with my families busy schedule. We still go back and visit when we are able. I cant say enought about this amazing place! I recomend this facility to everyone I know! "

"Ovid Healthcare Center seems to do a pretty good job so far. My dad hasn't had any complaints about anything. There always seems to be an ample amount of staff there. The rooms are a pretty good size, fairly simple, and functional. The few people that I talked to at the desk have been helpful. They assisted me in getting him the things that I bring in and they're fairly personable. The food is pretty simple. The facilities are not super attractive or welcoming, but it has a nice courtyard. They have varied activities. They recently had a management change."

"Eaton County Medical Care looks very new. It was fabulous, very clean, modern and the staff were excellent. My dad got rehab twice a day. He had a broken hip and he did very well with it. It was a great experience. "

"I visited Pleasant View two years ago. It's brand new, built within the last five years. It's a nice place, and they seemed to have good workers there. I believe it's a nursing home. The staff was good, it all looked really nice, it had a nice layout. The community room where we're at was really inviting, nice, and big. It's very clean, and they have attentive staff."

"Medilodge of Livingston felt cleaner. It was a nice place. It was acceptable. I think the only issue I had with the facility was that my mother couldn't get in there because there were no open rooms. It was a clean place. The people were very nice. They were thorough. The food looked good. They were all very, very pleasant and welcoming."

"Durand Senior Care was really nice. It seemed really clean, they were very attentive to the patients, and very nice and helpful. They know their patients by name."

"The Willows was a brand-new and very nice facility. However, when I did take a tour of it with a friend of mine who’s looking seriously at that time, I didn’t care for it at all because of the fact that the rooms were sort of like hospital rooms. The people were excellent and the facility was beautiful since everything was nice and new, and on one floor. They had a lot of activities for people, and separate kitchen areas. In the room, you can had a bed, a television, a small refrigerator, and a sink, but it’s not set up as an apartment. It’s was set up the way a hospital room would be with a refrigerator and no stove or anything. They have a nice eating area and everything. The staff was wonderful. They had senior citizens come in once a month and serve them lunch, but they don’t charge anything for it. I know that they’re given a certain amount to help, but they put on a nice meal and the people really like that. It’s not something that I’m interested in, but the people who were there were really nice and the residents seemed very happy. They had a little library and different things, and it was really neat that they had named the hallways after different people in Howell. And, of course, now that I’m a senior of Howell myself, I know of a lot of the people who the hallways were named after. It’s a very nice place and easy to get to. "
