"I had to put my mom in Hillside County Medical Care. I really didn’t have much choice because her 100 Medicare days for a skilled nursing facility had run out, so she became private pay and within the next two weeks she’ll be applying for Medicaid. The food is good, and the staff members are always very nice and friendly. They have a calendar with different activities listed, but she doesn’t do a whole lot right now. She’s wheelchair bound because of a broken ankle. "

"My husband moved into WellBridge of Pinckney just before the holidays. The building looks new and attractive. He's getting very good care and the people that work there seem quite committed to doing the best for the residents. He has a private room. They have the housekeeping people come in every day to clean up his room. The food is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If I need something or want something, they make sure that I get it or they help me take care of it. I would recommend them. Over the holidays, they didn't have the full staff because people have days off and weekends. So it was kind of the worst time, but all in all, everybody did as much as they could to make everything OK."

"My mom was in Hillsdale Hospital McGuire and MacRitchie before she passed, and I have no complaints whatsoever. They were wonderful, they were updating, they kept me informed, they made her feel comfortablea. They were just great. I didn't experience any negativity, even with the hospital being shut down, they were very great about letting me in, and they didn't give me a hassle. I can't complain, they were wonderful."

"The staff at TenderCare were caring and competent. I felt that my father-in-law was given a very satisfactory amount of staff time and resources to keep him comfortable and help him rehabilitate. The only reasons I can't give this facility a five star rating is because he didn't care for the food and I felt the nutrition could have better, such as less processed foods being served. All in all, I would highly recommend TenderCare. "

"My mother is currently a resident on Oak Hall and I am familiar with other in-patient rehab facilities. This is the best I have ever seen! The rooms are very clean and provide ample space to move wheelchairs and walkers around. They are bright and cheerful. Staff are just absolutely incredible! They are without a doubt smiling and helpful, each and everyone, all the time. They go above and beyond to make sure my mother is well taken care of. There are many different areas in the facility which my mother can wheel to for diversion and activities. I think the negative comments I've read are from individuals who do not truly understand the definition of rehab. My mother is there to regain her strength so she can go back to her apartment. She is not there to be coddled. These people constantly encourage her and gently push her to do her very best. My sister calls them "miracle workers" and I agree. Highly recommend this place for those serious about rehabbing."

"I have a good friend in this facility. The building is clean and has some very nice visiting areas. The rooms are typical 2 bed rooms with 1 by the window and 1 closer to the door. The staff is very good and friendly. She recently had a a serious surgery on her neck and the staff has been very attentive to her needs."

"Ingham County Medical Care Facility is the most desirable nursing home and rehabilitation facility in the Lansing area. The facilities are clean, the nurses and aides are friendly, and the meals seem to be good quality. The rehab unit is new and provides plenty of privacy and room for family members visiting their loved ones. The nursing home side of the facility if broken in to an Alzheimer's unit, and a full care unit. There are lots of activities for all residents including a prom! A group will bring around animals for the residents to interact with, there are weekly nondenominational church services, bingo, and nail and beauty days. I found that the residents seemed to interact a lot with each other and the staff, which was a relief to see them like that instead of sitting in the halls. Overall, I would recommend this facility for both long term care and for rehabilitation-it's a super place. "

"My Father spend 5 years at the Tendercare of Adrian facility, The staff members of this facility treated my father as if he were their own family member or close friend. I feel that this facility is well kept, and is one of the main reasons my dad was placed an hour from home. He had bouts with anger after a brain aneurism, and the staff of the facility knew just how to deal with him. The nurse who seamed to love my dad the most was a man by the name of Chris. I thank all the staff member of Tendercare of Adrian for providing my dad with a family like setting, clean facility and the best of care. "

"I recently had a family member staying here and they were so grateful of the staff. The nursing staff as well as the CNA's were phenomenal. My family member was on the first floor for their stay but was taken to the 2nd floor for activities with the help of the activity staff. Out only concern was when it came to discharging. The Social Service lady, Christy, was so horrible. We knew for a week family member was discharging and she did not do anything until the day before her discharge. Talking with her so was frustrating. She failed on so many levels and did not return numerous calls left on her voicemail. I talked to her assistant (I do not remember her name) one time and she was so helpful in providing some basic information a few days before discharge such as date and medical equipment that was going to be needed. Still no call-backs from the manager. The day of discharge she was in meetings and unable to come and speak to us. If your loved one does not need complex after care this may be the place for you, however, if you need and want assistance and information with discharge, please consider staying somewhere else."

"I was very impressed at the level of respect, dignity and care of this residential facility. Although the place is a short term and long term care home it offers a seperate addition that is just for assisted living residents. I was happy to see my family member was in her own little community where the other residents were all like family and not mixed it at any time with the full care residents in the other additions. I was very impressed with the set up of the wing as well. Meals were cooked right there in the kitchen with a open bar style window where the residents went up and requested their meal from different choices. There was no meal trays or mass feedings. It was glass dishes, real silverwear and meals hot off the grill just like that at home or a resturant. The Care aides were all very quick if help was needed and the aides were always the same. The aides knew the residents and the residents knew the aides. It was reassuring to know everyday you would have the same three people taking care of you. The activities were amazing. From farm day where they brought in live animals to a real parade that went around the entire building and lasted 20 mins! I would put my family member in this home with no hard feelings or regrets. They are treated with the most respect and everything is designed around them. They even had a queen for the day and she got to be in the parade. Residents here all seemed happy and involved! "
