"My mother-in-law has been at Majestic Care of Battle Creek for a little over a month now. Some of the staff actually came to our house and did the interview just to see what kind of condition she's really in and what she really needs, to make sure that their facility is the correct fit for her. And it all worked out really nice. I've seen the meals, and they looked and smelled pretty good. My mother-in-law's room looks almost like a hospital room. She shares her room with another person, but it is set up pretty nicely. They take care of her laundry. Even though they are short-handed, they do a pretty good job."

"My sister was there Jan 2023 for rehabilitation in the newer section which is nice. Carlos in the Business Office was excellent in helping us. Great service! Ashley, the nurse, is a true nurse with wisdom and great care skills. Tim in maintenance greeted us and showed us around and kept room clean. Our many thanks to Laurels maintenance, staff, nurses, cooks, therapists, doctor and others for taking care of our sister. "

"My stepmom has been at Arbor Manor for several days, and we chose to have her there since my husband's mom was so well cared for during her multiple stays there as well. Every staff person, from Admissions to the nurses, to the laundry person, have been caring, professional, helpful, and respectful. They've shown compassion for her and for us, and have been so patient with her requests. She has commented several times already on how much she enjoys the food, and can't believe how much she's had to eat! Her room is right-sized: not too big but not too small. She has what she needs and it's pleasant and clean. The large window gives her a nice view and the TV gives her lots of channel selections."

"Eaton County Medical Care looks very new. It was fabulous, very clean, modern and the staff were excellent. My dad got rehab twice a day. He had a broken hip and he did very well with it. It was a great experience. "

"My stepdad was in at this facility for several months. He had PT and OT. The staff was very attentive he was clean showered and facility was clean. The staff always communicated with me. I would stop in and see him having fun playing cards with other residents. The director spoke to me to make sure my dads needs were met for discharge. I recommend this facility."

"My mom is at Laurels of Galesburg. She is doing well. She is in memory care because she has dementia and they take good care of them. My mom's room is clean. They have a mat because she falls down a lot. The atmosphere is nice. In terms of activities, she does music and bingo. They have music a lot and they have people come in and sing and stuff like that. She enjoys their activities. The food looks and smells good, too. Overall, so far, Laurels of Galesburg is really nice. The staff members are really good. They keep my mom busy and occupied."

"My mother was a resident of RidgeCrest for 29 months 2017-2019, both in rehab and assisted living. She received excellent care. Twice they took her to the hospital when she needed it. She died at RidgeCrest, with hospice aid, peacefully, with three familiar people with her. The caregivers care. They treated her with patience and kindness. The nurses are knowledgeable, conscientious and caring. Each resident receives considerable attention. The facility is clean. My mother told me many times “This is the best place I could be.” Well worth the cost. Thank you RidgeCrest."

"It was a very clean, attractive development. There were lots of choices in housing. They had a lot of amenities as to exercise and dining venues. The staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. They have efficiency, one- and two-bedrooms, and some standalone units, almost like houses. I went into a one-bedroom apartment style, and then a two-bedroom house. There were courtyards that were private. There was a library, gathering rooms, and coffee shops. It was one of the better ones I've seen. It left a good impression."

"We chose Thornapple Manor for my grandfather because this is a nursing facility with memory care. They are an Eden community which means that the staff is specially trained to care for the elderly. It's like an additional certificate that they have. They include the family, they care for him in a specific memory care facility so that they have activities like bingo, games, music therapy, and art therapy. And they try to include families in those activities as well. They have an exercise facility that he can use. They also have a massaging spa tub that he can use. They've been excellent. They are expensive but my grandpa is well taken care of, so the value of that is priceless and they do a great job."

"My grandmother is currently at this facility. She has Alzheimer's Disease. The nurses and certified nurse aides at this facility are amazing. Whenever I'm there they are always very nice and they treat the residents like family. The rooms the residents stay in are large and accommodating. When my grandmother lived at home she often wandered away if she was not watched very carefully but at this facility all residents wear an ankle bracelet that alerts the staff if they leave the building, very similar to a tether. It lets us know that grandma will always be safe. The meals they get fed are nutritious. It's not hospital food, it is real food that we would normally make at home. They also take the residents that are able to out on the town some days, even if it's only to the mall to do shopping or to lunch. I really appreciate how well this facility treats my grandmother and I would definitely recommend it if you are thinking about putting your loved one in a nursing home. "

"I had to put my mom in Hillside County Medical Care. I really didn’t have much choice because her 100 Medicare days for a skilled nursing facility had run out, so she became private pay and within the next two weeks she’ll be applying for Medicaid. The food is good, and the staff members are always very nice and friendly. They have a calendar with different activities listed, but she doesn’t do a whole lot right now. She’s wheelchair bound because of a broken ankle. "
