"I have been staying here in NorthPointe Woods for four years now. It is very positive. My room is very adequate. I love it and it is great. I have plenty of room. I have everything I need, and that's good. The staff members work very hard. I think they do a great job. You can't please everybody all the time, but I think they sure try hard. I'm very satisfied with the food, but I am also independent enough to go out for dinner. I don't eat here every night every day. They do a great job. This is just so enjoyable. My granddaughter was here last week and she said, 'This is so nice, light and pleasant. I just feel so good you're here.'"

"I live near Maplewood of Marshall so I've visited it. It's assisted living but they have people that are there permanently and can drive, get out and walk around in those sorts of things. I like the cleanliness and orderliness of the place. The staff is very professional and gave me as much time as I needed to ask questions and look around. The place is very clean. They're decorated well and generally well taken care of. It's just north of town, it's near a condo complex and it's quite nice on the outside."

"My friend moved to Centre Meadows which is a 55 and older apartment complex. I like the location the best. The least would be the lack of staff communication. They offer food drop-off five days a week, Monday through Friday. They do cookouts and they have luncheons (it's mostly female there and he's male). They also have a movie theater, hair salon, a game room that has a pool table, and a fitness room. So, it's an excellent value for the money."

"Friendship Village is a huge community, and they have senior cottages. They have concerts, musicians, and visiting professors -- lots of activities. The staff was very nice, but it was not as friendly. The dining area was fabulous, and it’s dated. "

"My mother will be moving into Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. It seemed updated and pretty. The staff was very nice, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I didn't see anything because of Covid, but they had a hair salon, a library, a podiatrist, a doctor, bingo, and other games. If it wasn't Covid, they'd have the therapy. I don't know what the food is like, but the dining room seemed nice. The room is kind of like the size of a hospital room. Everything seemed clean."

"We did a tour of Heritage Community of Kalamazoo. I liked that the staff was readily available to explain how a continuum of care investment was a good fit for our family. They have a lot of dining options and socially active living for independent living to support long-term care, and for healthier living for as long as possible. I have tried the food and it's very delicious. The place is immaculate."
