"There are several different buildings at Friendship Village including a nursing home, assisted living building and a dementia assisted living building. What I toured was the regular assisted living building, which I was extremely impressed with. This facility is extremely beautiful and home-like. Residents have private rooms that they can decorate how they wish. Additionally, there are computers, a library, several dining areas that the residents can socialize at. Also there are several activities that are conducted throughout the day the residents can choose to participate in or not. Activities include discussions on major issues, crafting, group outings, and exercise programs. Unlike other nursing homes, there is not a strict schedule that the resident is forced to follow. They can choose what they wish to do and choose when they want to do it. Staff is on call 24/7 in order to assist with ADLs (dressing, eating, toileting etc.) The staff seemed to be very friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the resident is safe, comfortable and happy. "

"My mother has been a resident at Story Point/Bronson Place since 2007. She was very very active when she first arrived and continues being active to this day. Her needs have of coursed changed over the years, but Story Point has been able to accommodate with activities that meet these changes. The staff is outstanding and when she has needed personal care, Story Point could accommodate her needs with paid private duty services. My mother has always had a very special relationship with the front desk staff, the maintenance staff, the kitchen personnel, activities personnel, the housekeeping staff and administration. The Director of Story Point and staff care about the individual residents, making sure the residents feel heard and supported. As my sister and I have watched our mother age, we both feel that Mom has always been living in the best “home” for her, Story Point/Bronson Place. We also appreciate all the support we have received as our mother’s family over the years from management and the staff. Additionally, we are seeing many impressive physical changes of the facility, inside and outside happening over the past months"

"My husband’s Mother has lived at StoryPoint Portage for two years. She will tell you that moving there was the best decision she could have made. She will also tell you that she has more friends than she has ever had. It makes us SO HAPPY to always see her SO HAPPY. ❤️❤️ Mom settled in quickly, and within a few weeks was participating in all the activities. She plays Dominoes, Bingo, Euchre, SkipBo, and is known as the Puzzle Queen. Mom goes to most planned events, both inside SP, and outside. She often goes on bus trips to restaurants, shows, plays and other outings. StoryPoint is very family friendly. Family members are always made to feel very welcome, and included. Her great-grandchildren recently came to the Grandparents Day Old Car Show, and they are anxiously waiting for the Halloween celebration on October 30th. The employees are warm and friendly, and you will always see them interacting with the residents. It’s a very happy place!! Mom is 90 years old, and still gets around pretty well. She loves the size and location of her apartment, and until recently she had her beloved dog with her. We are grateful she can still live independently, surrounded by people who love, care, and watch out for her. "

"My friend moved to Centre Meadows which is a 55 and older apartment complex. I like the location the best. The least would be the lack of staff communication. They offer food drop-off five days a week, Monday through Friday. They do cookouts and they have luncheons (it's mostly female there and he's male). They also have a movie theater, hair salon, a game room that has a pool table, and a fitness room. So, it's an excellent value for the money."

"I toured Blueberry Hill Assisted Living Lawton. I like that it was clean. The people were very friendly. The rooms were of a good size. They're not tiny, but they're not enormous either. All the meals are provided. The person during the tour was very informative, answered any questions that we had, and generally showed us around the facility. So she did a great job. The people stay in a room. They have activities that you can go on and they have meals that are prepared. The residents don't ever cook. They have three meals a day and a snack in the evening."

"My parents moved into ML last October. The facility is a secure coded entrance. The staff members were all welcoming. Meagan and other staff members make sure my Mom gets showers and her meds. Brittany and her team ensure the residents keep active both mentally and physically. The themed events are above and beyond amazing. Every last detail is well planned - Holidays, Veterans dinner, opening day of hunting, the Ball, etc. I love that photos are posted on FB so that other family members can keep an eye on what my parents are up to. Can't wait until the live Clue game that is being planned!"
