"There are several different buildings at Friendship Village including a nursing home, assisted living building and a dementia assisted living building. What I toured was the regular assisted living building, which I was extremely impressed with. This facility is extremely beautiful and home-like. Residents have private rooms that they can decorate how they wish. Additionally, there are computers, a library, several dining areas that the residents can socialize at. Also there are several activities that are conducted throughout the day the residents can choose to participate in or not. Activities include discussions on major issues, crafting, group outings, and exercise programs. Unlike other nursing homes, there is not a strict schedule that the resident is forced to follow. They can choose what they wish to do and choose when they want to do it. Staff is on call 24/7 in order to assist with ADLs (dressing, eating, toileting etc.) The staff seemed to be very friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the resident is safe, comfortable and happy. "

"I will move into StoryPoint Kalamazoo. It's like living in a resort. It was very clean, it was nice, everybody was considerate, and they showed me what I needed to see. It was just a very nice introduction to the place. The staff was very considerate, answered all my questions, and told me everything I needed to know. I was there for dinner. They have a chef there who prepares the food, and it was very good. Everything was very well taken care of. When somebody moves out of an apartment, it's all refurbished, and everything is new."

"I toured Blueberry Hill Assisted Living Lawton. I like that it was clean. The people were very friendly. The rooms were of a good size. They're not tiny, but they're not enormous either. All the meals are provided. The person during the tour was very informative, answered any questions that we had, and generally showed us around the facility. So she did a great job. The people stay in a room. They have activities that you can go on and they have meals that are prepared. The residents don't ever cook. They have three meals a day and a snack in the evening."

"All of my interactions with the staff have been very good. Mom’s room is the largest size and is spacious and is kept clean."

"Its a great place from get go. They were able to fill all the paperwork for my mom and have taken care of her since last 3 years. The rooms are airy, well maintained and staff is very courteous and kind. Food is whole some and nutritious. It is a great place for my mom who has enjoyed staying there ever since. I can trust the staff to do the right things. My mom's safety has always been on top of their mind. Highly Recommended!!"

"It was very clean. A lot of people had their doors open, and everything was clean and smelled nicely. The people were incredibly nice. It was a quiet neighborhood. I liked the whole setup of it. They don't have a nursing home, but they will keep you until the end. The staff has been in constant contact with my relative and with me too. I liked it so well and it was convenient, so I didn't go any place else."

"It was not very big. They have a dog that roams around the premises that I knew my father-in-law would like. The staff seemed to be friendly and helpful. The bedrooms and the dining room were nice and clean. They play bingo and do outings with the other residents."

"Bickford of Battle Creek was very clean, and the staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. The two-bedroom apartment was good. The bedrooms don't have doors. It was a nice layout with a little kitchen in the middle. They had everything from a game room, puzzles, family room, dining room, and a weight room or exercise room. It was very nice. It's in a convenient location."

"We visited Northpointe Woods a year ago and we liked it. It has independent living, assisted living, and Alzheimer’s care. The atmosphere was good. It’s all old people, but that’s the way it is. They have some one bedroom and two bedroom suites. The individual units have kitchens. They assigned us a host and hostess. We had dinner with them, and the food was good. Their dining room was very nice, as good as in any hotel. We looked around and the facilities were good. They had an exercise room, a library which was pretty much typical and fairly up to date, and a convenience store that you could go down and get a soup and sandwich. The director of sales escorted us around. She was nice and friendly. She contacted us two or three times since then. "

"My uncle is comfortable at Kelly's Hillside Manor. He likes the other people who live there. He likes the guy who owns the place who also takes him to all his doctors' appointments. My uncle shares a room with a fella and they get along really well. The owner's wife is from the Philippines and she does all the cooking, so she cooks Filipino food and my uncle really likes it. The owner takes them out for a pizza once every two weeks and asks them if they want to go to a movie and if they do, he takes them. Don, the owner, is a really great guy who cares a lot about the people. He always talks to them and listens to what they have to say."

"Very welcoming from the moment you walk into the community. Everyone is very friendly. I have my uncle here and he loves it. He says staff are friendly and very accommodating to his needs. The food is really good. I have tried it myself. Rooms/apartments are really nice and it makes my u clue feel like he is in an independent community rather than AL. I would highly recommend."

"Outside, Fountainview didn't looked like a nursing home because it was really nice looking and I really liked that. The people there were very good and it was cheaper. "
