"My father-in-law has moved here. The place is small. It is different than a lot of the bigger communities. However, we feel like our father-in-law is getting very good day-to-day care. The people working there are very attentive and very communicative. When it came time to move him into the place, which we did at the last minute, they were very accommodating and extremely helpful to help us get him in there on short notice. Overall, our experience has been very positive so far. My father-in-law is in a room with a bedroom, a bathroom, and a small sitting area. They have three or four activities everyday, which is good. They are taking the residents on outings when they can. My father-in-law seems to like the food too."

"Byron Center Manor looked very nice. The people were friendly. They have nice rooms. The dining area was nice and clean too."

"Park Place Assisted Living is wonderful. I have nothing negative to say. The staff is wonderful. The majority of my father's caretakers have been there at that particular place of employment for over 15 years. He has no complaints about the food. They have a lot of activities like crafts and games. There's a room where they can go, and they have exercise bikes in there."

"I toured Bickford of Portage. They were friendly. It was great. A lot of the staff were friendly. They were accommodating. They're going to work with how much money my dad is bringing in until the VA stuff kicks in. The rooms were about the same as the other place. The bathroom shower was a little bigger. The staff said the amenities are about the same as where we're at now. I don't think they have a pool, but they have a salon. It's not as updated nor as bright as the other place, but they're going to remodel in the spring and do some repainting to brighten it up a bit. The staff was great. She has been really accommodating. She has called and texted me a lot. She is working on the paperwork right now for the VA. The facility itself looked fine."

"My mom moved to Commonwealth Senior Living at Grand Rapids. I like that it wasn't too large for her. There are a lot of beautiful facilities in the Grand Rapids area, but this would seem to suit her personality more. It has beautiful views of a pond and some woods, and my mom seems to like the food. On certain days of the week or months, they will have different musicians come in and play. They do crafts and bingo. They do a "Travel Around the World Series" where they bring exotic places to them, so that's fun. They do a lot of different things. They also have a hydroponic garden that grows green leafy vegetables, which they watch grow and then consume."

"My sister had to be placed on the memory on very short notice right at Christmas. They people got her in & squared away when I never thought it would happen. Great service. The staff was excellent & the accommodations wonderful on the 3rd floor! My special thanks to Sheila who made this experience so good. She is not paid enough!"

"In July of 2019 when my husband and I decided to move back to the Midwest to be near our adult children, I began searching the internet. Rivertown Ridge immediately caught my eye, so I contacted the sales office. Meredith was very kind, patient, and helpful in answering my many questions. In August, we sent in a deposit. One of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Unfortunately, my husband passed away while we were still in Florida, but the genuinely friendly staff at Rivertown Ridge made the move an easier adjustment for me. My apartment, the dining rooms, and common areas are wonderful! There’s a variety of activities, but no one feels pressured to participate. The location is ideal with shopping, hospitals, doctors, and restaurants nearby. I’ve made several new friends here and am so happy to be a resident at Rivertown Ridge. "

"My husband will be moving to Blueberry Hill Assisted Living. We had a very nice tour of the place, and the staff was very nice and informative. They also have lots of things for the residents to get involved in. I don't think the assisted living room we saw was the largest, but there was nothing wrong with it. The upkeep of the place was very good, too. We went through the dining area, and it was very clean."

"My mom moved to American House Holland. The staff was very good. I did not try the food because I said it was perfect for my mom and she moved in, and the first meal she had was excellent. They have arts and crafts. My mom is only interested in bingo, so they said they will have bingo just for her. Lindsay was awesome. She did so much. Every time I called her, she answered all my questions. So, I'm very happy that my mother was there, and my mother was very happy, too. I know that they're going to be redoing my mother's building, and it's very nice. I don't have a problem with it, but I'm sure it will be beautiful when it's done."

"My father-in-law will be moving here. It's beautiful; the apartment that he's going into is very clean and spacious. The bathroom facilities are wonderful. The staff was very informative and very friendly. The dining area was very nice. It's still kind of short because of the COVID, as far as being able to eat in the dining room itself, but it's coming back. It looks very nice, and the chef even came out and introduced herself to us. The activities are limited right now because of Covid. They have a spa and a fitness room. They have a beauty shop, a nice library area, and a nice little bistro area along with their dining room. It was very nice and very clean, I was very happy with them."
