"Byron Center Manor was good. The staff seemed very helpful and friendly. It was an older facility and that showed a little bit. I looked at the dining area, and it was very nice. Security was good. They had a list of activities that available, with something new every day. "

"Rivertown Ridge was beautiful, but it wasn't for my aunt. It was too big. We saw several rooms. She was with us and she was just confused. Walking out the door, she said, "Do we go left, do we go right, are we on the third floor, are we on the second floor, how do I get to where I eat?" It didn't work out, but I really liked it. It's very homey. We met the nurse, and we said hi to a couple of people we were introduced to. It was a very nice tour."

"This senior living apartments is great. They offer a bus for grocery's/Dr. appts. and trips. Hair salon in building. A nice dinning room and many activities to keep all busy. The inside of the building is super attractive and warm. Outdoors is really decorated with flowers/plants. Super nice place to call home. "

"We did a tour of Heritage Community of Kalamazoo. I liked that the staff was readily available to explain how a continuum of care investment was a good fit for our family. They have a lot of dining options and socially active living for independent living to support long-term care, and for healthier living for as long as possible. I have tried the food and it's very delicious. The place is immaculate."

"Crossroads Village is just fine for my wife and I. The rooms are spacious. They have card games, Bingo, and stuff like that. The spaciousness of the facility is what I like most about it. The staff is excellent, the facilities are very good, and it offers a lot of good services. "

"We chose Spring Manor because of its amenities and my grandmother actually chose this place. They have a movie theater, ice cream shop, a beauty shop, a gym, a barber shop, a library, craft room, and community room. "

"I am now living at Royal Park Place. I've only been here a month but it's met all my expectations. I like it here very much and I'm quite satisfied. The food is excellent, very good, and delicious. The people here are so wonderful. They're busy, but they always have time to talk to you if you have a question. They have lots of programs and activities going on all the time so they make it easy to meet the other people. It's a beautiful facility. We have way more activities than one person could do and there are lots to choose from. It's a moderate price."

"The staff was very nice. Their apartments were spacious and appropriate for the meetings. They were in the middle of remodelling their dining room to make it more conducive for the residents. The food was very good. They had a lot of activities. They had a bus that took residents around if they wanted to get out from the facility. They had games and social events. They had a beatiful atrium with live birds. "

"I'm in Summer Haven. It's a beautiful community. You're in a hub, all your doctors are right here, you can walk to the doctors, but it has no excitement whatsoever. I moved in last December. You can be quite independent. The management is split between three more complexes they own. They will service this place in the morning and run to the next place, so they really don't have much time to focus on this place. They keep up the place and go on to the next. The mall is right up the street. All the shopping you need about a mile and a half away."

"The Village was very nice; however, they did not have a spot for me. The staff was very pleasant, had activities for seniors, and an excellent program. They had bingo, exercise, and spiritual activities. It was a very lovely place. "

"We went to Waverly Meadows. It sits on 16th Street, which is a main street here in Holland. I met some people there that I know. I’ve been there for like 14 years. They offered a laundry room, but it costs. It costs a quarter to run the washer and the dryer. They did not serve any meals there. But they seemed to have a pretty close-knit family-type situation there. The people that were managing were so nice too. They also have on-the-grounds units that are one floor. So you would enter the building, and there would be a couple of units you would go to. That’s what my sister really, really liked. But the long hallway kind of bothered both of us. You have to go down to this long hallway, and then you open your door. You are in the hallway and not outside. The cost was affordable for her in that community. It’s an older community. "
