My parents are currently at NorthPointe Woods. They are wonderful and the experience has been very, very positive. They are very helpful, and everybody there is very friendly. They are very supportive of the families and they take great care of the people in their care, like my folks. My dad does not like the food. It is very clean; it is expensive but it is what it is. We can't do it ourselves, so it is helping the family. I've inquired in another place and they were going to separate my parents, so we have to pay for two rooms.

I was very impressed with NorthPointe Woods. They have a lot of things going on for people. The director that we met with yesterday was very helpful and took us on a tour. She was great. The place was very lovely. The one-bedroom was nice and a good size. It was very roomy, and it had a nice kitchen and a nice balcony. It was very clean and had a lot of windows, so it was well lit. The cafe was actually closed yesterday, and the dining room was not open yet because it's only open for dinner. The menus seemed very good. There's a wide variety of food. The directory said we could come back if we wanted to and have a meal before deciding one way or the other. There was not anything going on when we were there, but we saw the activities room and the schedule, and it looks like there are lots of things going on frequently. They had different art classes and just all kind of things. They have a lot of outings. There was a transportation book that showed every place that they go and you just sign up when and where you need to go. My daughter went with me and we were there about an hour and a half. We didn't get involved in any activities or anything, but it being a Saturday, it was probably not as busy as during the week.

We toured NorthPointe Woods, and it was an excellent experience. They were very helpful and very friendly. They had the facilities we were looking for. The apartments were up-to-date and nice. The dining area was very nice, and the menu looked good. It had a nice variety, and the rates seemed reasonable. As the activities and programs were described, they sounded really good. They had sort of things that would be expected of, like a men's club, a garden club, a gaming facility, a library, and exercise facilities. They do accommodate pets, but they have some limitations that might be difficult for us to deal with.

The staff at NorthPointe Woods was wonderful. We met with two different people and they were very welcoming. They showed us the whole facility and their units were larger than any of the other facilities we toured. They also invited us to have dinner and we met several of the residents. They have a lot of green space. There's a gym, a game room, a post office, a health center, a salon, and all kinds of activities that you can sign up for to go out in the community. 20 dinners are included in the base rate. They have a cafe on site that's open from 9 until 3 so that you can go down and purchase food. Then they have a coffee and tea bar and hot chocolate and cappuccino that's open 24/7.

My friend is in assisted living right now at NorthPointe Woods. It seems like a nice building. I've been having issues there because I am not related to him, and it's been very difficult for me as a non-relative to take care of him. I have power of attorney, and I'm his emergency contact. Once I got it, I said, 'Do you guys need this power of attorney?' They're like, 'We don't need it.' And then he goes to the hospital for something, and I can't find out where he is. It just seems like the staff is not helpful. I'm the one taking care of this man, and it's just been really difficult there. All these other places that I've gone to visit and take these tours, I've brought up this issue, and they're like, 'We have paperwork for that. If he says that we're allowed to talk to you, then it's fine.' I don't know if these people are just inexperienced or they just don't care, but it's not that uncommon to have somebody outside of your family take care of you. The room (at least the one that I've seen) is just a square. It's really expensive, and my friend is just living in a square room. He doesn't have a kitchenette in there. From what I've seen so far, for the amount that he's paying, it just seems a little strange. They have a dining room. It is a fairly large complex, but I don't know about all of their activities and stuff. He seems somewhat listless there; however, they have been taking good care of him. I guess I can't complain really.

Just a few weeks ago, I visited NorthPointe Woods. It looked like it was very well-run. I met some of the staff and the place looked like it was very well-cared for. I looked at the assisted living and went through the independent living part. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. It would be a good thing to sample some of the food but I didn't get a chance to do that or see it on the plate or anything like that. That's something that would be helpful to people if they would be offered lunch or dinner or something like that. I would say the people that I met were very appropriate. The man that gave me the tour was very friendly, professional and just really good. The whole place looked like it had just been vacuumed. It was very well taken care of. It looked like the people that were assigned to cleanliness did their jobs.

Our aunt has been living independently at NorthPointe Woods for several years now. The staff has been so attentive to her even through all this Covid stuff. Every member of the staff we’ve had the pleasure of working with has been amazing. We are so happy she selected NorthPointe Woods to live.

I visited NorthPointe Woods, somebody I know lives there. It's very nice, there is nothing wrong with it. I liked it, but I did not like the fact that it had more than one floor. I wanted something on one floor and somewhere close for my mom to take her dog out. The room was very nice, I'd say it was pretty large, one bedroom, about the size of a small apartment in a complex. I did not see any activity, but that just could be because there wasn't anything going on at that time. It just felt like it was home; I want to say cozy. I've been in a lot of them and I would say that it fares about equal to all the other ones that I have been in.

We have a friend that lives in NorthPointe Woods, but it's not on one floor; it's basically apartment living. I didn't really care for that. I kinda wanted an open one-floor plan because my mom has a dog that has to go out, and it would be right outside. You walk about 20 feet and there's the door to the outside. The rooms are very nice, it's got plenty of rooms, and a balcony that you can go out in. It's great, but my mom has a dog. It's like in the downtown area, but I don't really care for the neighborhoods there. It's not safe.

I have been staying here in NorthPointe Woods for four years now. It is very positive. My room is very adequate. I love it and it is great. I have plenty of room. I have everything I need, and that's good. The staff members work very hard. I think they do a great job. You can't please everybody all the time, but I think they sure try hard. I'm very satisfied with the food, but I am also independent enough to go out for dinner. I don't eat here every night every day. They do a great job. This is just so enjoyable. My granddaughter was here last week and she said, 'This is so nice, light and pleasant. I just feel so good you're here.'

My parents have been at NorthPointe Woods for 15 months now and we are very pleased with their care. Their apartment is spacious and bright with a bay window sill for placing their special pictures and ample closet and storage space as well. The staff is exceptional! They have been very timely in communicating needs and keeping me updated on any changes in their health that need attention. My Dad loves to play cards and goes twice a week to play Euchre and Texas Holdem and has enjoyed meeting other residents and making new friends. My mom enjoys the shopping trips and the quilting/sewing group. The dining room is very spacious and bright. There are several areas to gather to visit, snacks are always available, laundry service is included or residents can do their own if they'd like to. The complex is totally accessible without having to go outside so in the winter months, visiting friends in Independent Living or The Oaks is easily accessible. The Executive Director has made himself available to contact for any questions or concerns and has worked with our family to address specific needs in a very professional and caring manor. So much so, there is a sense of family and community here. I truly believe my parents are in the best place in town. It gives me great peace of mind knowing their needs are being met 24/7 and whenever I call, each of the staff has been more than helpful and accommodating.

My father has been at Northpointe Woods Assisted Living since February. Our experience has been absolutely wonderful! The caring staff has made his transition so easy for him and our family. His apartment as he calls it, is comfortable and the staff treat him like family. He can play bingo, do exercise classes and walk around the entire property. We are very grateful to have such a place in Battle Creek for our dad. The wildlife is amazing. Dad loves to see the cranes, turkey's and deer out his window. Do consider NorthPointe Woods for your loved ones.

I'm now at NorthPointe Woods. I have an apartment, and they serve dinners here. It is very nice, very clean, and very secure. They have a nice program for different activities. It is a big place. They have another section that is assisted living, so you get everything. They take day trips when the weather is nice, they take us grocery shopping, and they have transportation to the doctor and the hospital. I like it. The staff is excellent. They keep the building immaculate. The cafeteria is always very clean. The help is very clean and cordial. They have good activities. I think you get your money's worth. I'm happy with it.

Management is not in tune with the residents or the staff. The only thing they have going for them is admissions person..... I think her name is Peggy, not sure but she knows residents families and is so personable.

My father-in law is back at NorthPointe Woods from his rehab. He has breathing treatments and is paying for extra care, which they're giving to him. It's very good. We've been happy.

We visit Northpointe often. The building is very dark inside, and the hallways and a lot of the rooms face the parking lot, so everybody has their blinds shut. They have a very nice dining room, and nice staff going around and helping people, though I don't think they ever seem to have enough staff. We have a family member there, and so we go in and visit him. They have a nice craft room where they do different activities; a room where they have television and meetings; and a very nice eating area that is centrally located for everybody.

We visited Northpointe Woods a year ago and we liked it. It has independent living, assisted living, and Alzheimer’s care. The atmosphere was good. It’s all old people, but that’s the way it is. They have some one bedroom and two bedroom suites. The individual units have kitchens. They assigned us a host and hostess. We had dinner with them, and the food was good. Their dining room was very nice, as good as in any hotel. We looked around and the facilities were good. They had an exercise room, a library which was pretty much typical and fairly up to date, and a convenience store that you could go down and get a soup and sandwich. The director of sales escorted us around. She was nice and friendly. She contacted us two or three times since then.

Northpointe Woods was very nice. The person I talked to was very informative. It was a gorgeous place, very upscale. I passed by their dining room, and the meals really looked nice. It was a very nice place. I think they were a little pricier, so I knew my aunt couldn't afford it. I liked best the energy of the place. I met one aide who was very bubbly and very welcoming.

I visited Northpointe twice and I found it satisfactory enough to move in. It was very nice and had few other things that I liked better. One of the things I liked is they had meal options. In addition, the place has more closet room, a walk in pantry and closet which is a plus as far as I am concerned. The lady I talked to was very nice and helpful in answering my questions and she took me around to show the different apartments.

Northpointe Woods seems like a very great place to spend the last years of one's life. My grandmother is a resident there, and I visit her frequently. The staff always seem friendly and willing to help; they go the extra mile to provide an enjoyable experience for the residents. The living areas are always kept extremely clean and tidy, and my grandma has rave reviews of the food! Almost every day and night is filled with different activities. Things such as board games and movies are available to residents as a way to stay entertained. Physical therapy and other services are offered in-house, which is extremely helpful for the residents. Overall, I would say that Northpointe Woods is a wonderful place to be and I am extremely happy for my grandmother that she is there and not somewhere else. It is rare to see the kind of care the staff at Northpointe Woods put in to their jobs.
