"I was at StoryPoint Portage after I got out of the hospital, and everyone was so friendly. The workers seemed to enjoy it. They had worked there for a number of years. They remembered my name all the time. They had good food and lots of activities. I loved it. It was expensive, but you get for what you pay. They had people that played the piano and the guitar. They also sang. Every Friday afternoon, they had happy hour with free drinks. People went down and got what they wanted. They also had exercise class, crafts, and just whatever you wanted. I'm an active person, so I liked doing a lot of things."

"Friendship Village is a huge community, and they have senior cottages. They have concerts, musicians, and visiting professors -- lots of activities. The staff was very nice, but it was not as friendly. The dining area was fabulous, and it’s dated. "

"Storypoint of Kalamazoo has given my father an extraordinary living experience! From the first initial tour and highly detailed informative session, both he and I felt they were the perfect place for him to enjoy life. The apartments are spacious and immaculate, accompanied by plenty of windows for sunshine and coziness for Michigan winters! The food is highly recommended as I have dined with him several times. Waldorf salad, shrimp, and a pig roast on location?! I commend the entire kitchen/waitstaff as they put the resident’s needs priority. Whether it be dietary, mobility, seating preference, is met with kindness and accommodation. My father is enthralled with the social activities offered and I have found it trying to get him away for a daughter date night outside of Storypoint! Amidst the on-site daily activities, there have been bus outings arranged to numerous places. The director and event’s planner are all ears to the resident’s feedback and requests. Storypoint makes it feel like home to all. Both residents and their families. I am so grateful for them to ensuring the well being and safety of my father!"

"I will be moving into Centre Meadows Apartments. They're clean and updated, and the people are nice. The staff is very helpful and answered all my questions. The facility is very nice. It didn't have any foul odor. We went into a room and looked around. The size was a little bigger than what mine would be, but it had a balcony, a nice kitchen, and a bedroom. It's very nice and very clean."

"My husband will be moving to Blueberry Hill Assisted Living. We had a very nice tour of the place, and the staff was very nice and informative. They also have lots of things for the residents to get involved in. I don't think the assisted living room we saw was the largest, but there was nothing wrong with it. The upkeep of the place was very good, too. We went through the dining area, and it was very clean."

"The room in which my mother lives is a studio style room. It is adequate for her. The staff is wonderful. I have not yet met anyone who is not kind or compassionate. The community offers many activities, however my mother rarely participates. All staff encourage her but she is hesitant."
