"Primrose Retirement Community is beautiful. I like the fact that it was only five years old, so it's very modern. I like the fact that it had a washer and dryer in every room. They have assisted but they are separated from the independent for dining and things like that. They have movie nights. They have a pub and a bistro. It would be my first choice except for the price. The staff was very friendly and very thorough. They presented us with a little gift bag with goodies in it as we left. They were just very friendly people."

"Hubbard Hill Estates is a nice facility that has a lot of accommodations for patients with Alzheimer's. The staff members were friendly and very knowledgeable with a lot of information. The rooms were set up for the residents there. It is broken down into housing sections and then there's about 8 to 9 personnel per wing. They got their own bathroom and a walk-in closet. It is set up like a house. We didn't eat there, but we saw the meals that they prepped in there. It's home cooking. No junk food or anything. They're very healthy meals. For activities, they have a person that's there every day and they have a set schedule of what the residents can do. They'll do some sort of physical activity, and they will do cognitive activities like drawing or writing. And then they have field trips and things like that. The staff are all very active with what they're doing."

"My parents moved into Greencroft Goshen. They have multiple levels of care. Since my parents are in independent living, they get their first choice if they have to move up to either assisted living or nursing care, so that was one of the main reasons we chose it. The area is very close to doctors and grocery stores. It is a very good area, and it is easy to get around. I've heard a lot of great reviews. The staff has been wonderful. My parents seem to like the food. They have a lot of activities."

"I live in Juniper Place. It is part of the Greencroft Retirement. I have lived here for three to four years now. They have been very clear and very effective. They provided what they said they would. With the pandemic, they have been making adjustments. Many are so that you can't hold them responsible one way or the other. I like the food, and I like the service. They have a variety of activities. They haven't been doing those during the pandemic for obvious reasons, but I have seen them do different card games. They have somebody cleaning all the time. They have somebody mowing the grass when it needs to be mowed. If you have a problem with a bathroom stopped up, they are there within a half a day. Value for money is excellent."

"I toured Waterford Crossing. The difference with them is that you buy a duplex, and when you leave, you sell it. Whereas the others, you kind of buy in, but you don't get your money back if you have to move, so that's a big difference. It was more out in the country. Everything seemed nice, friendly, and clean. The staff who toured me around was very nice. It was more like a little village with little houses and stuff that you bought into. It's like a little community and everybody has yards and stuff."

"My mother is in Autumn Trace. Their staff is very caring, and they try to customize their care to the individual needs of the residents. They're good at communicating. I just had some food last Friday when they brought her plate to her because she wasn't able to go to the dining room. And it was good. It's immaculate. They have a full time activity director. They have bingo, drumming, trivia, movie nights, game days, a knitting club, and book club. Sometimes they'll arrange outings with the residents that are able to. They supply a refrigerator and a microwave. It's got a nice walk-in shower with a seat and nice cabinetry. They have four different screened-in sunrooms, and they have a courtyard. They also have a separate dining room kitchen area that you can use at no charge for family gatherings that seats up to 20 people. If you're going to eat in the dining room, that's extra. But you can bring your food and if you like, say your family member is able to, maybe they're wheelchair bound, you're not able to get them out, you can have a gathering there like for their birthday or something, and use that dining room, that common space. It's only three years old, so it's really nice."

"Everything is very good and I'm happy with Woodland Terrace, I've had no complaints. My mother's room is very nice and everything meets her needs just fine. They don't have a library, but they have a salon for the residents. Once a week they take the residents somewhere outside the community, like to the zoo, garden, restaurants or some type of outside activity. They also have regular activities inside every day."
