"Making the decision to choose Story Point for our family members new residence was one of the best decisions we’ve made together. Story Point has a wonderful sense of community, residents quickly become your friends, and the staff is exceptional in the care and services they provide. The apartment is perfect in size and has a spacious open feel to it, with an outdoor balcony for enjoying the beautiful sunny mornings. All the amenities you could wish for are available! There is always something fun happening at Story Point~ live entertainment, movie nights, fitness classes, bible study, Coffee Club, Happy Hour… just to name a few. One of our Mom’s favorite things is the wonderful dining. The chef and culinary staff are exceptional and create delicious, creative meals to enjoy. Every week she raves about her favorites and as a family we have enjoyed their monthly Sunday brunches together. Convenient amenities, engaging activities and it’s friendly & supportive community all make it a beautiful place to reside, as well as visit. We highly recommend!"

"Hanover Place was nice and clean, that's what I liked the most. It was so open to the residents like they could just move about. Even though you have individual apartments, you still have those common areas, like the whole first floor, you just move about. I wasn't ready for something like that. We looked at a 2-bedroom. The staff was pretty good. Because of the pandemic, they're not offering food, they just give it to you in a bag. The facility was kind of small, and right now, you can see the upgrade of the 1-bedrooms. They're only upgrading when you say you're going to move in, so they're remodeling as they get people to come in. They have a courtyard and a gym."

"I had a very cordial visit to Tinley Court. Me coming from a house, the rooms are rather small for me. However, I appreciated the courtesy of the lady that was showing them to me. I would recommend it to anybody that would want to kind of scale down to a smaller area. They showed me at least four rooms. They also showed me an activity room, a computer area, the lunchroom, and a library. It was okay. It's very convenient to shopping, too."

"My mother has been here since November of last year. The rooms are nice, and all the staff are very friendly. She has no complaints. Everything is really good, and she has enjoyed all the meals."

"Marian Village was expensive, but the whole atmosphere, the staff, the graciousness, and the beauty was what I like the most about the whole environment. They have lots of activities, the food is delicious; they serve one meal a day. I would recommend them although it’s a buy-in facility. "

"Village Green Active is a fine, excellent, caring community that keeps the residents involve in all sorts of activities. They have transportation, breakfast, laundry, doctor and programs throughout the week. "

"I visited the independent living community of Vita Luxury Apartments on Grant. The appearance is fine. They have a great entrance going into it. I've been there thrice, and I didn't see any outstanding issues at all. The person who accommodated me during the tour was helpful with whatever questions I came up with. There wasn't too much of a wait, and he's also dealing with my application at the moment. I was looking for a pet-friendly place, and they are a pet-friendly place. I saw that they also have a small gym and a swimming pool. It's independent living, so you prepare your own food. It's a fairly new facility, so most of their stuff is basically new or just a couple of years old."

"Hartsfield Village is very clean, very new and very modern. They also have assisted nursing in a separate building, which was also very nice and very clean. It didn’t smell. They had a lot of activities for their people. Nice amenities and they had a lot to offer the residents. The only thing they didn’t have there was a Catholic mass. You have to go off site to see your physician which is nice to have a doctor that comes to the facility. We did talk to the staff and we did see some of the residents. The staff was very friendly. We ate their food, and it was excellent. It had a beautiful dining room. The rooms were very nice and they had beautiful common areas in several locations on every floor. Big, wide open areas with big flat screen TVs, nice couches and chairs, and then they had little game tables off in the corner where you could play cards. They had free beverages like in the laundry room, they had a little refrigerator and they had juice and water available to all the residents all the time. It was a very place. "

"My father is a patient at The Skilled Rehab Nursing Facility. It's a nice small center. My father has received great care and his getting stronger after his stroke. He gets to make choices on his meals which he really likes; and if he doesn't like what is being served they have alternate choices. Friendly and helpful staff. Erin K. the Admission Director is wonderful; she returns calls promptly when i have left messages. "

"My mother will be moving into Kirby Manor Apartments. It's a senior community but it's not assisted living. It's independent living. My mom currently is living off of Social Security only, so it's based on your income and it's very reasonable. It is an independent living, so you have to be able to provide for yourself. Even though it is a community of seniors of 55 and over, you still have to be able to clean and bathe yourself. They have daily activities. It is two floors, so there is a laundry facility on both floors. They have a treadmill and exercise bikes and stuff like that. They have a small facility room for that. They have a reading room, a puzzle room, and their actual dining room. They can either dine with other people or they can dine in their own apartment. They serve you and they have a menu there. They have a chef on-hand that does the catering there. They had one-bedroom and two-bedroom, and we looked at both. The one-bedroom was very adequate. There's plenty of room. It has a kitchenette that goes into the living room, and the bathroom is wide enough. They had a closet space and it's perfect for independent living. Those that don't want to be a burden on their family but want to be able to live by themselves, it's perfect for that. They have haircutting once a month. Somebody from the outside comes and they set up for haircut appointments. They had an outdoor area and a little patio terrace that looked very cute. As far as cleanliness, it was pretty well kept. It's a little older, but it was still clean. The lady during the tour was very friendly and very informative. The maintenance guy was very upbeat and friendly. It's an older facility, but there was no chipping paint or anything like that."

"Lake Park Senior Apartments was very nice. Everything was updated and it was decorated very nicely. I got to see a room and it was beautiful. They also had like a separate villa on the property (several of them). The villas were beautiful, too. The property manager I met was excellent. They also had activities."

Lester's place is located in East Chicago Indiana. The property is a 5-unit apartment building with 2 levels of stairs. The property is newly remolded. Each united is fully furnished with all utilities paid. The bedrooms are shared living with 2 people per room. There is a total of 11 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms on the property. There is a TV in the living room that has streaming channels for our guests. There is free Wifi for guests to log into. We supply bedding for our guests who require assistance. The property is close to restaurants, and bus transportation. The property is 25 minutes from downtown Chicago. The units are professionally cleaned once a month.

"Wittenberg Lutheran is newer and nicer facility. The rooms were big and the staff seem to be more attentive. "
