I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

It is pretty great. They're very clean and the staff has been very communicative with us like they would say, "Hey, we noticed your grandma is running low on this. On your next visit, make sure that you bring this for her." Today, we received a call that she was just having a hard time and wanted to know when my grandfather (who has already passed away) would visit her. They were able to get information to bring to her right at that time to be able to help her while she was having a memory issue. My mother tried the food and she said it was all pretty good. It seemed very well balanced and nothing that she would feel like she wouldn't want her mom to be eating. There's a nice wide variety of activities for her to do. They do field trips. I know they go to a pumpkin patch. They do little craft projects and stuff like that, and she seems to want to participate in that stuff. I'm all for anything that gets her up out of her room and be with people.

I visited this facility

It looked very nice. It was very welcoming. The staff was very professional and pleasant. It looked like they set up all kinds of activities and activity centers for the residents who are interested in those types of things. The few residents that we met seemed to be OK. They weren't really outgoing, but they were walking around and seemed to be enjoying things. We saw a one-bedroom unit. It was nice, pleasant, clean, and neat. It was not quite as big as I would have hoped it would be, but it was sufficient. It wasn't suitable for my friend's needs though. She would not be happy there, and she is not really ready for it yet. For me, I thought it looked very nice. It was convenient. I don't really have anything bad to say about the home itself. I think the physical appearance was very nice. They have a very nice little dining area. The staff were very pleasant. They didn't seem excited to see us, but they were very professional. I have been to other places before in the past, and they had more of a homey atmosphere. In the common areas in Rittenhouse Village, it looked more like an upscale house. It was like a living room that I wouldn't want to live in because it was too nice-looking. The dining area was pleasant and nice. They had a lot of windows, but it just didn't look homey. I understand they don't have a lot of carpeting in these places (probably for them to keep it clean), but it just looked a little too cold. It didn't look like a hospital room; it was nicer than that. If I had to live in a place like that, I would say that I could get used to that. My friend was not happy with it at all. She's a very picky person.

I visited this facility

We did a tour here. The staff was great; however, the room is really small. The staff was awesome; I loved every one of them, and it was just great. It's just, the rooms were too small. It was perfect, clean, and it was nice. The neighborhood seemed fine, even if you went outside. It was nice, you could go outside and just sit, and it was perfect. Everything inside was perfect, it was clean where you could set and go, it was perfect other than the rooms were too small. We were there during lunchtime, and we were hungry. They just gave us free coffee and a free pie. I would go there just for that.

I visited this facility

I visited here but it wasn’t really an official visit. My parents have decided they’re not yet ready. The rooms were very nice. There were plenty of activities. I saw their activities list and there were plenty to do. I ate there and the food was good.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

We like everything about it. My parents have been there since August. It's new, and the rooms are lovely. The dining room is beautiful, and the food is good. The staff is attentive. The facility is always clean. They dump the trash three times a day, and they come in and clean the rooms. They change the beddings and do the wash for their towels once a week. I've never seen anything there that is dirty.
