"Whispering Pines' rooms were very clean and spacious. The drawback was that it was two levels, and I was concerned about my parents being able to go to the lower level to the dining area. They had a little quilting area setup and played cards. They had like a little café area, movies, church, and fitness room. "

"My husband was at Avalon Springs Health Campus. He was there on two different occasions. It's a five all the way around. They were absolutely wonderful. The facility was very clean. Leadership was very involved. They don't close their eyes to anything. The chef was good, and the food was always hot. The dining room was wonderful, and there were tablecloths on the table every time the meals were served. They encourage the residents to participate in activities like happy hour on Fridays, they bring in great artists to entertain on Fridays, and they had Bingo on Wednesdays. The CNAs were just phenomenal. When you put your light on the maximum time you wait for them to take care of you was 10 minutes. I did not have to be there with my husband at all. I'd go every evening just to go and have dinner with him. They knew my desires, how I liked him to be taken care of, and it didn't take them long to learn them. They have assisted living, the rehab section, the memory care section, and long-term care."

"My father-in-law was at Life Care Center of Valparaiso. He came in in bad shape. He was in Michigan at another facility, and we were planning his funeral. However, he came down in an ambulance to Life Care Center, and these guys brought him back to life. They were amazing. They were very friendly, very informative, and very helpful. Everything we needed was taken care of. He loved it. They had choices of meals for them to make with every meal. My father-in-law could decide what he wanted, which was great, and that was the main thing for him. The place inside looked a little tired, a little busy, and a little smaller because it's not new with high ceilings and stuff. So, I would say the appearance insight could use a little help. Nevertheless, the value for money was excellent. The care services were amazing. They took care of him. I absolutely would recommend them."

"This is the second time my family member has stayed at the Willows, and we couldn’t be more grateful! After a stay at a more advanced rehab facility where she unfortunately experienced complications, we didn’t hesitate to send her back to the Willows—even though it meant an hour and a half drive sometimes! The only reason she left this time was because she wanted to be closer to her children, but honestly, I’ve had family members in other facilities, some with more advanced programs, and none compare to the Willows. From the moment you walk in, there’s never any foul odors—it’s always clean and fresh. But more than that, the people here truly care! They are genuinely concerned about the health and well-being of their residents, and their communication is outstanding. For anyone looking for a place to take a loved one, I can’t recommend the Willows in Valparaiso, Indiana enough. You all should be the standard for how nursing homes should operate. Thank you all so much for everything you’ve done for my family!"

"My husband was in rehab at Golden LivingCenter - Valparaiso. They were wonderful. We thought my husband was going to pass away when he went there. They got him into rehab, and they got him walking again. He does have the onset of dementia, but that's improving a bit. The place is just immaculate. The service and the care they took of my husband, they just did a wonderful job with him. It's expensive. Anytime I called, they always took the time to talk to me because we live in Michigan City, and it was hard for us to get over there to see my husband. He got acquainted with the staff. They were very friendly and attentive. He was always neat and clean when we went to see him. They were excellent as far as the care that they gave him. He said the food was good. He was always happy with what they served. A lot was like the taste of home cooking, nothing out of a box. He was more or less in a locked community because of his Alzheimer's, so he didn't do many activities. They had a few things, like in the afternoon they would have popcorn and a movie, or they would do maybe some bingo or some arts and crafts. They did have activities."

"For about three years, my Grandma stayed at Fountain View. My mom, sisters and I would visit her once a week, every week. The staff was always kind and helpful, and my family and I got to know them quite well. They were always attentive, and I could tell they genuinely cared about the clients. Every week, my Grandma would show me the prizes she won at Bingo, and it made me happy that she enjoyed it there. We would stay for a few hours each visit, and we were also allowed to use the recreation rooms when we held birthday parties for my Grandma, which I thought was very nice of them to allow. The food that they served was pretty good, too. I remember sometimes we would eat dinner with Grandma, which was always a nice time. All in all, I feel Fountain View was a pleasant experience for my family and would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs kind and attentive elderly care. "

"My mother was in Miller's Merry Manor in Portage. She was in the rehab facility. They were very nice and very good. The staff members were just a little slower at coming when you pressed the buzzer. They didn't come as quickly. I would rate the staff a three."

"They cared for my Mother and did the best they could. She was not an easy resident, but they treated her with professionalism and loving care. My brother and I appreciate everything that they did for her. Nursing, dietary, housekeeping, therapy and the management staff went above and beyond to help make her staff a good experience. "

"This is an older but recently remodeled facility. Staff are friendly, building is clean and food much improved. Nice to see the administrator out and about too. My aunt whom I am POA has done good here. I recommend this place. "

"I visited The Waters of Hobart. They were very friendly. It seemed very accommodating and clean, and they could handle his medical needs. The rooms are double occupancy. So, he would have a roommate, but I think that's a good thing to have someone else with him that he can talk to. The rooms seem very nice. They have activities like bingo and some other games and gatherings that they do."

"Sebo's has been a God send for me and my family. I appreciate all the staff. They are very professional, understanding, patient, caring and hard working. Especially, Jackie C. the Guest Relations Director has been wonderful! She helps me coordinate my brothers needs and answers all my questions. You can count on her to get things done. Since COV-ID 19 Jackie has coordinated window visits, patio visits and phone calls frequently so I don't feel disconnected from my brother during this time. He will be a year in September and I would recommend Sebo's to anyone who needs a good loving place for a loved one! "

"Timberview is one of the best nursing homes. My grandma has been at Timberview for about a year now. It is always hard placing a loved one in a nursing home but Timberview made it as easy on us as it could be. Thank you for everything that you do Timberview. "
