"My parents are in Settlers Place. The services and the environment at Settlers Place offered were excellent. The staff was very polite, good, friendly, and caring. The dining room has chandeliers in it and fancy place settings. The room is very convenient. "

"Bickford of Crown Point was a very nice place. The lady I talked to was very helpful and really seemed to care about what we needed. The rooms were all nice and big. They did have exercise room, and they have a hair salon activity room and cafeteria. "

"My mom was at St Anthony Home for rehabilitation. I thought the workers seemed concerned with the residenets and appeared to be very professional. It was a plus that they had single rooms and the place was clean too. I would suggest they improve the timeliness of the laundry, have more activities and more stations on the televisions. "

"The staff was excellent assisting me with information and guidance from my first phone call. The Director of Sales was responsive, knowledgeable, and compassionate during the entire process. The Head of Nursing and the Facility Director both made themselves available and gave much needed help, support, and expertise in a very trying time. The staff is friendly and pleasant from the moment you walk through the door. The Memory Care nurses, CNAs, maintenance, housekeeping and food service is top notch. I feel confident and at peace knowing my dad is being well cared for at Deer Creek."

"As our mother, Sarajane, aged, she needed different stages of help. Initially, she moved from her home in which we were all raised to an apartment for seniors near me, to living with my sister during Covid, to living at Two Hearts near my brother, which opened providentially at the precise time when an assisted living facility was needed for her care. We felt like we had personal family care with each new challenge. As mother aged from her 90s to 100, Two Hearts provided social, physical, and personal care beyond what we were capable of providing for her. We felt like we had an extended family through the owners and caretakers at Two Hearts. The three of us are thankful to God for his timing for mother’s care at each stage of life and for the loving care of Two Hearts Assisted Living."

"The rooms at Victory Centre of South Chicago were very nice, clean, and had a nice view. The heat was ample. They had a ping-pong table, a pool table, games, television, and stretching exercises. The food was ample and scheduled, but you can always have soup or something else, and that was readily available for eight to 10 hours. The staff was excellent in explaining everything."

"I had an in-person tour of Two Hearts Homes for Seniors. I liked the independent rooms. They were very spacious. I liked that everyone sat together for dinner. They have a menu, and you have your choice at dinner. In other words, not everybody eats the same thing. Some like it and those who don't like it. It's a choice that you're being given for dinner. The staff members were wonderful and seemed to help the people when asked. This is a small unit and not a 50-person unit, so there's not as many staff on hand, but they were very cooperative. They showed me the place, and they talked to my brother. I've taken my brother there, and they've taken him to both assisted living and memory care places. They had a woman that came in as far as giving haircuts or hairdressing. They have activities that they do. They have picnics and things like that outside on their patio and where they cook outside. I was very happy with the service there as far as explaining things."

"Symphony Chesterton did not smell. Everything's nicely furnished. It's an uplifting place. The staff was very nice and kind of just went above and beyond. I had four small children and they went with me to visit my dad every day when he was there. So, we got to know the staff and they just treated us nicely. They were nice to my kids, too. They gave them tours of different areas of the establishment, including the kitchen. They showed them how they prepare the food. They had a movie theater room that we went in and visited often. The menu looked good. There are a lot of different options and different choices each day. They played poker, they had paintings, and people came to do music or dance. For St Patrick's Day, they had a lady dressed as a leprechaun and visiting all the rooms, giving out candies."

"The Pine village atmosphere was very nice. You can choose apartments whether with a balcony or a patio. The apartments come with a furnished kitchenette and you can cook your own dinner there. The rooms were clean, bright, well-designed and well-furnished. They have a service that would take you to town everyday. The staff was friendly and sociable. The facilities were worthwhile that you can do what you want to do without supervision. They have activities and entertainment set up that you would not end up sitting at home or anything like that. Safety measures are also in place for your protection. I plan to move there after I sort out things because of my operation. "

"The decor in the rooms was a little bit different. The person who gave the tour understood the needs that I have. The rooms were exactly what were needed. There was a calendar of activities and posting. The person who helped me was excellent. The setting in general was excellent, and I liked the way people were interacting. There seemed to be something for everyone. "

"I visited Avalon Springs Health Campus. They were very helpful and worked with me when I got there. I did not have an appointment, so they made time for me and spent one-on-one time with me, answered my questions, and gave me a total tour. I've tried to reach out to them by phone, no one picked it up, then I had left a message and I didn't get a response, that's the only problem I had with them. The apartments seemed clean and it's a good spot for the elderly that needs some assistance. They gave me a calendar, and they had bingo, and they had a sing-along going on as we walked through. They recently had an Oktoberfest type day, and they do something like that every month and that would be a special meal. They had the German hats that they got for them and it looked like they had fun with that. I saw a dining room and outside spaces, and they had tables and chairs set up. There was a sitting area up front, which was like a family room area setup. The facility seemed clean. They were friendly and helpful. They would have transportation for doctors' appointments if needed. They have respite care where dad could come in and stay at the facility for a short time like a week or so and see what he thinks, so I liked that idea."

"We were really impressed with it. The staff was very nice, helpful, and accommodating. They answered all my questions. The place was nice. Everything seemed fine. We are placing my mom there."

"Have a lot to offer. Nursing staff and Personal Care team were nice and knowledgeable. Chef was great and food tasted wonderful. Several Apartment types to chose from- even have nice patios. Activities seemed fun too; I love the old fashion ice cream Shoppe and the chapel. "

"Sterling House was very clean and very homey. The residents were taking part in an activity when we were there, and they seemed to be enjoying it. They did not have any room available, though. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. It was definitely well maintained. The dining room a little small but very clean and homey. "
