Green Oaks of Valparaiso was spotless, and the people there were friendly. I liked the staff I talked to. They were very nice. I talked to a few people, and then we ate there. They gave us lunch, and it was good. Really, really good. So I would rate this community very highly. The staff who gave the tour was really nice and very informative. The rooms are beautiful. There are mostly one-bedroom apartments and studios. They have no two-bedroom. It's a fairly new place. It's only a couple of years old. The facility is really nice.

It started off great, and it ended in a nightmare! FYI, this place does NOT accept any income OVER $40K annually. We were told it was $50k from start to finish, turned in all of our financials very early (that should have been the end of the process because they knew we made too much or should have known) and kept turning in all the requested documents. On the very last day, after getting my Mother's hopes up!, they called us and said, "You make too much money"...I can't express the negligence on their part and the utter frustration it caused us!
