"We have just started using BrightStar Care Valparaiso about two to three weeks ago. They offer a wide range of services, like a skilled, companion, and just well-being checks. They are easy to get a hold of. It's easy to schedule. That was the only place that I could find that would be able to help us. I didn't realize that I was asking on such short notice, but apparently, I was, so they were able to assist. They are good communicators. My father said every one of the people that came was very nice, and he enjoyed their company. They came in for six days, twice a day for two hours every time. It was short enough notice that they did the very best that they could to accommodate and cover every shift and they were able to do that. Three different people came that I am aware of. It was pretty short notice, but they were very accommodating. They did a really good job at getting things covered. For the peace of mind that it brings and for the pleasure that it brought to my dad and the ability for him to have some independence and someone to spend some time with, it's a good value. It's hard to put a price on that. My dad's kind of a grumpy old man, and the comment that he made to tell me that every one that came, they were all very nice and he enjoyed their company, so to me, that's invaluable."

They didn't have the right caregiver for my mother. We got the schedule that we requested and we had someone available for the schedule, but as far as the replacement for the caregiver that wasn't right for my mom, they didn't have anybody available. So we had to go with another agency. They provide homecare and light housekeeping, although the person that we got didn't do any light housekeeping."
