"The people working at Miller’s Merry Manor are awesome. The rooms are small, but they are very nice and clean. They are immaculate. They do what they can. They will set everything up, and you can decorate anywhere you want. For a nursing home, it is superior to others around here. I have not talked to anybody who has bad words to say about the place. They have a good menu, and if you don’t want something from the menu, they have things you can order. My mother says she has not had a bad meal yet, and the food is excellent. I had a couple of lunches with her, and they work very hard to get it all properly as fast as they can. As far as I’m concerned, it is the best place that we can find around the area. I cannot give it enough good review. "

"My mom is a resident of Chalet of Niles and we liked the Chalet very much. We like the staff. My mom is 89 and we have been having problems as far as her healthcare is concerned. She has the propensity of bawling and her needs have increased. But the staff, the people there, are very caring. They did really well during the pandemic. The food is good. I like the administrator, and so does my mom. It is not bad; it is actually really good. Her room is nice. It is an older facility, but they keep up on it. They just now started back up with activities. They were doing activities during the pandemic, things like hall bingo, connecting with all the residents, and they did well for being in the middle of a pandemic. Now she is able to go to the dining room, she is able to join in the activities if she wishes. She loves bingo, and so they play a lot of that. She is also the resident council president. I can't say enough about the Chalet of Niles. I think they are very professional, caring, and loving human beings."

"This facility is 5 stars! From the facility entrance to the rooms to the theraphists, to all the employers there is not one thing that I could say needed improvement. When I left my father for the night I was completely confident that he was receiving the best care available in Niles. Highly recommend to anyone for their loved one. You will not walk out and wonder what treatment they will receive when you can not be the one with them. "

"The building is old; very clean. Most rooms are small but the things that matter most are excellent. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, from the cleaning people to the administrators. They are always smiling and polite. Thank you for caring for our family member."

"My mother moved into Wellbrooke of South Bend. It's a new place, it's very nice, the staff is very knowledgeable, and they have a rehab facility on the campus. They've been very accommodating with the food, my mom is a vegetarian, they're working on a menu together about a menu, and that's going well. We have eaten there, and the food was very good. They have a lot of activities, they have a library, and they have a room where they can view films. The facility itself has a lot of windows, so there's light, and a lot of sunlight comes in. Their assisted living section is full, but they're adding onto their facilities. I was very impressed with it."

"I toured the facility for a loved one. The facility was very well lit, spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and professional and were very engaged with patients in activities. It was great to see patients smiling and enjoying themselves. "

"The staff have been very welcoming from the very beginning. Now even after my parents have moved in they greet me when I come to visit. The staff is wonderful in communicating updates on my parents. Mom and dad are so happy to not have to cook any more. There are many other activities (daily mass, monthly lunch bunch, weekly happy hour, daily exercise classes) to help the residents become a real community. The rooms have a small footprint (500-550 sq ft) but they are very well maintained. They have a maintenance person who helps the residents get settled after move in (hanging art/photos, TV wall mounting) and fix anything with a work order."

"Signature of South Bend was pretty nice. The rooms were a little older as far as general appearance was concerned. The facility had been around for a while. The staff was fine. They were helpful and answered my questions. The food was decent and not bad. "

"At this point, my husband went into rehab at Holy Cross Long-Term Nursing Care. He was very pleased with the staff, and they took good care of him, got him physical therapy, and he liked the food. They had activities but he didn't participate. Fortunately, it was all covered by insurance. He had been there before, and he liked it. It's also close."

You can tell the team members care about each other and the residents. It’s nice to feel welcomed anytime we come for a visit."

"They were super nice at Miller's Health & Rehab, but my father really didn't like it there, and I don't blame him. I thought it was a little depressing because it is part of a hospital. It smelled like a hospital. He was there for a long time, and he was not happy there. He had a private room, and it was very small. When my sister and I would visit, it was crowded. They brought him food to his room like a hospital. He was just very lonely. He had physical rehab there which he did like, but it was in a room that wasn't very cheerful, but bright. His room was dark, clean, and didn't smell like urine. The staff were very nice. "
