Hamilton Grove was nice. The room that I had visited with a friend of mine that was there was an older complex, but it still was clean. It was very roomy.

Hamilton Grove was nice. The room that I had visited with a friend of mine that was there was an older complex, but it still was clean. It was very roomy.

I've been living in Hamilton Grove's assisted living for 2 years now. I like the cleanliness and the staff. They also have independent and nursing care. In another part of the community, it has independent living, physical, and occupational therapies. Meals and housekeeping are included here. They also have activities like bingo, trivia, and things like that. There are a variety of activities. Of course, during the pandemic, they had to stop many of them. Now they are starting the activities again. They have church services and counseling if you want it. There is something to do almost every day. They just don't have enough staff and need more.

We really liked the nursing care section at Hamilton Grove. We just saw one lady, and she was friendly, spent a good time with us, and explained everything. Sanitation looked fine.

I know quite a few people who work there and I know the area well as I lived close by for years and everyone is caring and comforting. The area surrounding New Carlisle is a very close nit family type of people. We have several in La Porte and Michigan City and you never hear anything good about them.
