"Comfort Keepers is a local in-home care agency. They have provided me with a fantastic caregiver, Sherri W. She has been a TREMENDOUS helper/lifesaver/friend for me and my mom, Evelyn N., was has Alzheimer's. I had to move from my life (full-time job) in Dallas, Texas to bring my mom home to South Bend, Indiana in order for her to be in a more familiar place. When I moved back here last June I was under a tremendous amount of stress from the move, change in my lifestyle AND dealing with my mother's worsening condition. I take care of my in my home 24/7. If it wasn't for Comfort Keepers connecting us with Sherri I don't think I would have made it this far in this journey. "We have just started using BrightStar Care Valparaiso about two to three weeks ago. They offer a wide range of services, like a skilled, companion, and just well-being checks. They are easy to get a hold of. It's easy to schedule. That was the only place that I could find that would be able to help us. I didn't realize that I was asking on such short notice, but apparently, I was, so they were able to assist. They are good communicators. My father said every one of the people that came was very nice, and he enjoyed their company. They came in for six days, twice a day for two hours every time. It was short enough notice that they did the very best that they could to accommodate and cover every shift and they were able to do that. Three different people came that I am aware of. It was pretty short notice, but they were very accommodating. They did a really good job at getting things covered. For the peace of mind that it brings and for the pleasure that it brought to my dad and the ability for him to have some independence and someone to spend some time with, it's a good value. It's hard to put a price on that. My dad's kind of a grumpy old man, and the comment that he made to tell me that every one that came, they were all very nice and he enjoyed their company, so to me, that's invaluable."
