Storypoint Oshtemo has exceeded expectations in every way. We moved my mom to the assisted living facility 10 months ago. She did not want to move out of her home and was initially very resentful at having been made to move. Every staff member at Storypoint gave 100% every day to help my mom adjust and eventually become a happy participant in the community. Not only is the facility clean and pleasant, but the large variety of activities that are offered every day truly provide something for everyone. The staff is unbelievably kind and make such an effort to get to know every resident. They were so compassionate during my mom's adjustment period and my mom is more socially engaged than she has been in a decade. I can't imagine any place better for a loved one at this life stage.

We have a relative who has been at Storypoint, Oshtemo for more than a year. She lived in two other assisted living facilities before moving here and the difference in care here is so much better than she ever received at the other places. All of the staff participate in training and they are excellent. They constantly search for ways to improve and are always available to speak with family. They have more activities to engage residents, they also have outings for residents. Some of the other places said they had outings, but didn't follow thru. Our relative is much happier here and we know that she is absolutely safe.

The staff is kind and helpful. They all look out for your loved ones. The community is full of people happy to share. I’m thrilled my mom was there. I knew she was safe and looked after.

My mom has lived here for over 3 years. It was a tough move for her coming here from FL. She loves her apartment, it has a good-sized bedroom, living room and bathroom. The best part is her patio. She and her cat sit in the living room and love to watch the birds on her feeder. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. (Especially since my mom is 97 and has been a widow for 34 years and is very set in her ways). Someone is always stopping just to say hi. Although she only participates in a few events each week, there are lots of things for the residents to participate in.

Mom moved into memory care one year ago. The room is beautiful and the food is tasty - we really like the chief. Mom transitioned beautifully - the staff are wonderful and deeply and truly care for mom - they understand the disease

It is new. It has nice wide halls and lots of light. It's just more open and it feels less institutional. I saw activities going on. I saw some singing going on and some cardio drumming at one point while I was there. It looks very clean.

It is a brand-new facility. They had courtyards where the residents can wander in and out of. I just thought it had a very friendly atmosphere to it. The staff who showed us around was very knowledgeable and very experienced. They have a looped layout so that you can't get lost; you would find your room no matter what because they just go in a circle. They're a pretty simple layout.
