"My mom was in Bronson Commons for 30 days, but it's extremely expensive. She had a private room with a bathroom. Meals were brought to her, and the food was excellent. They had physical therapy also. "

"My mom is at Laurels of Galesburg. She is doing well. She is in memory care because she has dementia and they take good care of them. My mom's room is clean. They have a mat because she falls down a lot. The atmosphere is nice. In terms of activities, she does music and bingo. They have music a lot and they have people come in and sing and stuff like that. She enjoys their activities. The food looks and smells good, too. Overall, so far, Laurels of Galesburg is really nice. The staff members are really good. They keep my mom busy and occupied."

"This nursing home is good, but could do better. A majority of the staff is polite, though some act careless (for example,walking past a resident that needed help). The general smell of the nursing home is not pleasant. The rooms for the residents, however, are quite nice. They have comfortable beds, bathrooms with all the necessary handicap accessories, and even a cable TV. Blind residents even get books on tape to listen to. The nursing home has a library in which many residents read often. So, all in all, this nursing home is pretty good. "

"My husband was in Riverview Manor for rehab. We liked the community. It was out in the country but easy to get to. It's hard to get out of, though; you need to have someone let you out, which is OK because they need security. They had a beautiful courtyard. I feel that the people were very caring and always kept me informed. My husband couldn't stand up, but they had the facilities to move him, and apparatus to harness him and transfer him from one place to another. I thought the food was good. They would bring it into his room for him since he preferred to eat in his room. The place was very clean. I was very pleased with it."

"This facility has a new physical therapy room that helped him a lot. There is an activities department that schedules outings, bands to come in, and other activities t keep the residents happy. The nurses and certified nurse aides are all very nice however I find that you can hear them discussing their personal lives in the hallway. I would recommend this facility to another family member or friend. "

"This facility has done an excellent job of caring for my husband I highly recommend Heartland for giving back a quality of life that is unsurpassed by most.. The nurses are wonderful to all of the residents. The nurses aides are the best in patient care. The facility is very clean. The activity personal engages and encourages each one to join in the activities, They offer many interesting things to do and they are geared towards promoting sociability. The residents express their joy in staying there. From the commitment and dedication of the staff and administration they well deserve a five star rating. "

"They are a FOR PROFIT place... and they will deny services unless they make a profit. They are always understaffed after 5pm and in weekends. They use the names of past employees to make the schedule look staffed but really understaff on purpose to save money. They won't document anything negative that happens to your loved one. If your loved one has ANY mental disabilities, DO NOT PUT THEM HERE!!! If your loved one requires a helper to go to appointments, they will not allow staff to go. They do not offer special diets, like for a diabetic diet. They offer alcohol events for residents, even if the resident is a recovering alcoholic or if a guardian denies alcohol use for them. The State has written them up multiple times for not providing a call light, not answering call lights in a timely manner, turning the call light off without helping them, and sexual misconduct between patients. Food is not served warm. So much more to say but not enough space to type. Do not use any nursing home owned by Atrium."

"My sister was there Jan 2023 for rehabilitation in the newer section which is nice. Carlos in the Business Office was excellent in helping us. Great service! Ashley, the nurse, is a true nurse with wisdom and great care skills. Tim in maintenance greeted us and showed us around and kept room clean. Our many thanks to Laurels maintenance, staff, nurses, cooks, therapists, doctor and others for taking care of our sister. "

"The outside of this facility is neat and attractive. The entryway includes decorations and a friendly hello. The hallways don't feel like a hospital. The smell that usually pervades this type of facility is much less than in the past. The rooms are more person friendly. Staff seems interested in helping. A Bible study is provided for those staying in this facility. Also, some crafts and other activities are provided. A qualified nursing staff is on duty at all times. "

"My mother-in-law has been at Majestic Care of Battle Creek for a little over a month now. Some of the staff actually came to our house and did the interview just to see what kind of condition she's really in and what she really needs, to make sure that their facility is the correct fit for her. And it all worked out really nice. I've seen the meals, and they looked and smelled pretty good. My mother-in-law's room looks almost like a hospital room. She shares her room with another person, but it is set up pretty nicely. They take care of her laundry. Even though they are short-handed, they do a pretty good job."

"She went into Heartland Health Care Center right after she got out of the hospital. It’s an old place but they did everything for my wife. There’s always somebody around her when she needed help, they paid close attention to her. Our experience was very good with them. We can’t complain about it. If I’d be in one, I’d be in this place. "An older facility but well maintained. My mother has dementia and resides in the North end of the building that is secure. The CNA's are wonderful. They provide lots of TLC for the residents, many of which don't get regular visitors. The CNA's really get to know each resident and their likes, dislikes, habits, etc. I feel very good about placing my mom in this facility. "
