My dad stayed in The Springs at the Fountains for five days. I have mixed feelings about them. They care about him, but they don't seem to have a way to handle if he has an outburst. He tried to hit a staff member a couple of times, and their response to that was to automatically send him to ER. Then, the ER referred him to a geriatric psychiatric unit. That's where he is right now, so they can regulate his meds. I have no idea if they have normal protocol, if they're supposed to be equipped to handle patients that aren't perfectly behaved, or if this is exactly what they do. There were two patients to a room. It's not a very big place. They basically can maneuver it all in a wheelchair. They just go up and down the hallways. They're not really equipped to have someone sit with him. It was clean, and the people were nice enough and were very courteous when we were there.

The therapy team was great, they worked well with my mother and were outstanding at motivating her to get up and moving. My mother recovered fabulously and was able to return to her prior residence at walker level.

When I visited The Springs at Bronson Place, I was very pleased by the conditions of the facility. The room had a very open and airy feel to it and it was very clean. During my visit, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I noticed that many of the residents seemed happy and all were engaged in some type of activity, not just 'parked' in a hall somewhere. The rooms were large and tastefully decorated, with comfortable lighting. There were a few group activities being offered, which were well attended. The dining area was also well maintained, with almost a 1-1 staff to resident ratio. The menu was displayed and had a wide variety of choices for the residents. Overall, I felt the facility was clean, welcoming, and pleasant.
