The rooms were clean and had a home like feel rather than feeling like you were in a facility. The food is really good. The staff were super friendly and always had different activities for the residents!

I toured Briarwood Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was a nicer facility as far as a building and the rooms were okay. They were much nicer the way they were set up. The staff was great. They went through and they showed us everything. They showed us some menus. We got to talk to the chef. Overall it was a nice experience there. It was a nice-looking place. Nicer room. They had a couple of open areas where they had a TV and they have a piano and stuff, and a nice lunch room and a nicer building.

We toured Briarwood Assisted Living & Memory Care. The tour was very nice, and it was a very nice facility. I told them my mother's budget and they were a couple of thousand over. The only person we've met with was Matt and he's the one who toured us. We didn't meet any other workers in the facility. We saw the patients there, and the workers, but we only had contact with Matt. We saw two different types of rooms. They were both very nice little apartments and would have worked out very well for her, but again, way beyond her means. They had all kinds of different activities. You could go on outings, do little crafts, and other things that they did. I just thought it would be very good for her to be able to socialize with people her age, but it's way beyond her means.

The staff and administration are friendly and caring. They notice what is going on with your family member and make helpful suggestions from their experience. This is all new for us so very helpful.

The apartment is very nice with a slider facing out into pretty landscaped yard. The entire staff is amazing. They make the residents feel at home and cared for. True family experience. Everyone is very kind. The activities are many! There is always something going on. Also, special events, holidays, outings and lots of other things! Fun times!

In the search for assisted living for my mother, Briarwood came highly recommended. From first contact to move in, the staff has been highly professional, courteous and respectful. The room is exceptional, from layout to amenities. The staff had even pre-programmed the remote to her TV before she arrived. The chef is professionally trained, and she has taken the time to actually listen and tailor offerings for her. From community activities to crafts to on-site pharmacy and salon, the entire facility is designed to surround your loved one with exclusivity, comfort and security. Little touches such as these that confirm daily we've made the best choice possible for her.

My first choice would be Briarwood Assisted Living & Memory Care because of its location, amenities, and overall layout of the place. I like the layout of the rooms. I like the fact that they have a specialized shop that comes in for the meals. It's just how everything looked there was amazing. The gentleman that I talked to was right on schedule. He reached out to us several different times. He's just absolutely amazing. The staff was all super nice. They were willing and able to do a tour as soon as they were readily available. Overall, it's a nice facility. They do the three times a day meal with a shop. They do snacks whenever it's needed. They have all kinds of doctors, podiatrists, PT, OT, and all that kind of stuff, which is a huge benefit to the residents.

The rooms are spacious and clean, facility is well kept, staff and Manager (Judy) are great people who really care, and the activities were a lot of fun for building relationships.

My mother was in this community and the staff were wonderful. The environment is so friendly and welcoming. My mother was very content and actually called Briarwood home after she adjusted to her move. She calls the staff her little angels. It is nice to be able to take a vacation and not have to worry about my mother. I also really love the idea that she was in an apartment and not in a small room. Great place to call home.

Choosing to a place to have your mom stay was a difficult process. Briarwood made the choice easy. Rooms are nice, staff is always on top of things and the price is well worth the stay.

Dad's Home

Dads place is a spacious deluxe floor plan. So very cozy inside. He has a frig, microwave, his furniture, his own bathroom and a slider to a very nice fenced in court yard. He enjoys watching the squirrels at his bird feeder. He’s taken down to the dining room for meals or sometimes stays in his room and we make him dinner. I’ve seen residents sitting out front enjoying the day. I’ve seen pictures of the field trips they go on. Saw the pictures of the residents getting splashed with water. Looked like alot of fun. My dad even came down for bingo. Cherish is the activity director and loves planning events. The front entry way and dining room are decorated for fall time. Great job to the staff. They are so compassionate, friendly and caring. If I need something for Dad I go and ask the gals in the office. If I need to talk with Brittney,the Administrator for anything. I call or leave her a message. She calls me back and she gets things figured out. I’m so appreciative of that. Just the other day they delivered a ice cream parfait. What a delicious treat. There’s a physician that sees dad once a week. He also has wound care come in. He has OT & PT helping him get around, which is awesome. I was overwhelmed and uneducated of what’s available. Brittney answered our questions, we had a tour. We all felt a huge relief. Dad is adjusting well. He’s always saying Thank You to the staff. This assisted living is Dads home and I am very grateful and feel very blessed to have moved him to Briarwood! Thank you so much to the staff.

The place, staff, rooms, an the over all place is very impressive. I couldn’t ask for a better place to take care of my mom. They bend over backwards to help an accommodate your needs. Your hungry they will get anytime, food is really good also. Rooms are very nice, great view. Mom also loves all the activities great thing for the elderly. Thanks for all you people do.

The staff is great! They all have great attitudes, they are very helpful and are there when you need them. My mom (who moved in to Briarwood earlier this year) gets along well with them and enjoys their company. The facility itself is in excellent condition and the rooms are nice sized. Again the staff does a great job keeping them clean. Overall I (and my mom) am very satisfied with everything thing and everyone.

The minute I walked in the door of Briarwood I knew this was the place for my mother. Everyone is so nice and very helpful. You can call anytime and they are right there to assist you. They are genuinely caring and helpful. I like the set up of the rooms, they are very spacious. The activities keep my mother engaged.

Clean and friendly atmosphere with fun loving and compassionate staff. The rooms are spacious and create the feel of dependent living with the appropriate level of care met. The activities create a great social environment and foster that of a community. They make cater to meet the individual needs of each resident. Cannot say enough great things about the facility and staff!

Briarwood is definitely very well kept up. The staff is very friendly. The rooms were clean. The people I interacted with were very caring. It was fine. I would give them a 5 just because the looks of the facility and the friendliness of the people and staff. The staff members were very, very nice. They seemed very caring. It was clean and it just seemed like it was in a safe area of the city of Allegan. I was very comfortable there. At that time, they were just starting to let people come in and look at the facilities again. It's actually in between where Dad lives now and where I live, and it is between for my family and his friends also. I didn't want to take him too far away from where he lives. There's a hospital down there, Allegan General. It's a small town.
