"My uncle has lived at Addington Place for over a year now and has received great care. He originally started in an independent studio, but had a fall and the hospital said he could return, but had to go to Assisted Living. He was hesitant about the move, but had since really grown to love the constant traffic of people his own age. He was sent back with PT and has been working with the RENEW program to continue his PT work, he really enjoys working one on one with the therapist Ashley. He is still able to visit his friends in independent living and they visit him as well. His new room is a studio with a full bathroom and closet, just enough room for him!"

"It would probably work better for me. It's close to where my daughter lives. It's a good-sized campus and it covers pretty much whatever your needs might be. It is a clean facility. Everybody appeared to be happy when I visited. The apartment I looked at was lovely. They have a wing there available if you should need medical help and that was a good feature too. This facility would satisfy what I was looking for. "

"StoryPoint Forest Hills was really nice. The villas were not attached. It was just within the parking lot. The staff said if they come over for a meal, they would hop in their car because of the weather and stuff like that, especially during the wintertime. We had a really nice tour. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The only thing that would lower my score is the distance from us, but that's not because of them. Also, the cost is a little higher than what my parents can afford. They had a hair salon right there. Those are some things that my parents would eventually come to use, but probably not right away. The villas were off-site, but not very far, just across the parking lot. They were absolutely beautiful. They have a two-bedroom-two-bathroom and a walk-in closet attached to the main bathroom, and a laundry area. So, that was really nice. Their dining area was nice. I wouldn't say it was formal, but it was kind of a community feeling, and good for socialization."

"Our mother has been a resident in the Assisted Living building for approximately six months. The staff has been absolutely wonderful making her feel welcome and involving her in activities. Her room meets her needs very well and always looks tidy. The meals always seem very good. We are very happy that we selected Cascade Trails for her."

"My parents have moved into Sentinel Pointe Retirement Community. This was the community my mom liked the best. She liked that she had a small kitchen. They have beautiful scenery to look out at. All they see is the woods. They have housekeeping, they have meals, they have transportation, and they have assistance if they need it. They have activities, but my parents have been so busy unpacking they haven't had time to participate in anything yet. They've only had one meal there and they said it was very good. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. It's on 18 wooded acres, so it's got beautiful landscaping. It's friendly and welcoming. It's kept very well. It's very clean."

"The staff here treats our mom with respect and love. If we have any questions or concerns, they are always willing to help us out or work with our requests. We have treated the staff as our extended family and it shows in the care they have given our mom. They are always working on different ways to engage the residents and are working extra hard during these Covid times. We appreciate everything they have done and the extra miles they go. Prior to Covid they would have entertainment that would come in for concerts and music is the best therapy! They also love the visits from the therapy dogs. "

"We liked American House Holland. It was a nice place and it was affordable. They have a good program and I think I would put my mom there in a heartbeat. They had two different kinds of rooms. They had a full apartment and a studio and either one of them was great. It's clean. They offer a lot of medical stuff. They run a nice memory care program and they care for the safety of their residents. They have an activity room and a calendar on the wall of activities they have every day."

"I toured American House Spring Lake. The building was nice. I did not see as many people out in the halls or interacting with each other. I didn't see the staff interact as much with the residents, but it could have been the time of day. They didn't serve dinner. The apartments were adequate. They had pretty much the same features in them, but they were quite nice. I wasn't as impressed with the staff."

"I actually moved into Pine Oak Senior Community. It’s for senior citizens 62 and over. I have been here only a week, but the people at the front desk are really nice and helpful. There are all 1-bedrooms in this complex, but they do things like they get the garbage. I liked it. The rooms were a little bigger. The apartments are really nice. They’re clean, and they put a new carpet down so I was happy with them when I walked in here. Each place has a balcony. They have nice landscaping around. The neighborhood is pretty decent, and there is a grocery store just a block away at the most. They’ll bring your groceries over if you need it. There’s a bank at the corner down the street and they’ll come here once a week and help you do your banking stuff. It’s almost like assisted-living. The rent was fine price-wise. Everybody else had a waiting list. They just had openings, and it works out OK for me because my son lives about half a mile from here. "

"The manager, the person who showed us around, was exceptional. She knew the people, knew what she was doing, she was cordial, inviting, and knowledgeable. The place was wonderfully decorated and very inviting. I wasn't able to try the food, but the people looked happy with it. They take the residents on tours, take them to different places, and they have space outside with a walkway and nature. The community is very wonderfully planned."

"My parents liked it because of the way things are structured, and how things are done there. If they get to a point where their money runs out, they're not booted out the door. The staff was amazing, and we spent four and a half hours touring the place. They have a pool, hot tub, workout center, they have games, and they take trips. I was very impressed, the rooms were beautiful, well-maintained, and with no smell at all."

"The Cottages at Allen Springs offer a cottage instead of an apartment, and it has a garage. It is all on one level, which is important. They also offer many activities, and the rental cost includes all utilities, even the Internet. The woman who assisted me was knowledgeable and friendly. It was immaculately clean, very appealing visually, and very nicely decorated. The atmosphere was calm and interesting. The cottage was very, very spacious."

"My mother was at Covenant Village. She stayed there for three months. They helped her out a lot, which is what she needed because she fell and broke her wrist. It was a very nice place. It was a very good place. The staff was very good. They had an incident with one of the ladies while my mother was there. Other people had complained about it because she was rough, and they took care of it. They were very good. My mother shared a room with another lady, and they had their own bathroom but no kitchenette. The dining area was good. Activities were good. They had bingo and movies. They had people coming in for talks, and they had singers come in as well. "
