"Byron Center Manor was good. The staff seemed very helpful and friendly. It was an older facility and that showed a little bit. I looked at the dining area, and it was very nice. Security was good. They had a list of activities that available, with something new every day. "

"We toured Commonwealth Senior Living at Grand Rapids. We didn't have an appointment. We just walked in and asked if we could visit the facility. The sales representative wasn't there, but one of the directors was, and she was happy to answer our questions, and she took us on a tour. She was very nice and very helpful, and we liked the facility. The only thing was, it was a little closer. That was the only thing that we were debating about. We like that it sits back off the road, so it was more wooded. It was where the metro was more urban, and so we liked the more country feel. It wasn't as opulent as the other facility, but it was very nice. They have a little courtyard that looked out over a pond, a nice little place where the residents could walk and sit outside and enjoy the weather."

"It was very nice, very clean, and smelled good -- which was important. The staff was very sweet. They seemed to be conscientious and very kind. I would recommend it for them to look at. I would say it would be somebody else's decision, but it was very nice -- definitely worth looking at. I thought the rooms were very nice, and the sitting areas were nicer. I liked that. "

"It is clean, and it seems like a nice place to be. It's a little bit inexpensive compared to other places, and it seems to work out OK. Her room has a bed, a chair, a dresser, and a table, which is enough for one person. The food seems OK. I've only eaten there once, and I got no complaints from my mother. She has been here for about three weeks now. They have bingo, and they take them to places every now and then. "

"Riley Grove has been a great fit for my mom. She has adjusted well and the residents are treated so well. The facility is welcoming, ver appealing and laid out so well for memory care residents. Everything is easily accessible and safe. The food is wonderful, the management, administration and care staff are approachable and kind. Always willing to go the extra mile. The activities are planned so well according to current happenings…Tulip Time, March Madness, holidays…always something to do to remind residents what’s going on in the world. Activity director is great! There is a beautiful area where residents can go out and sit anytime to enjoy the outdoors. Safety is very important and well managed! A hair salon with a wonderful hairdresser!! I can’t say enough good about this facility! We love Riley Grove!"

"I visited northview manor on two occasions. The first occasion I volunteered to help pick up the property. This involved cleaning up sticks and leaves from the property to allow the place to look better. I also helped paint unoccupied rooms for future tenants. Frequently I saw various nurses or care member in the facility. They all seemed very nice and helpful with the tenant in the building. The owner of Northview Manor does a great job of keeping up with maintenance and continuous improvements to provide a healthy clean living area. Nurses were quick to assist and needs from the elders. Food was provided on time for the tenants of the building. Overall Northview Manor does a great job taking care of tenants in need. "

"When I toured the facility I was surprised at how really nice everything was. From the common areas to the spacious rooms, to the lovely dining room, the salon and “happy hour”. There is an upbeat atmosphere and the food was very good. This is a place I could picture going to myself if the occasion ever arises! The staff was also very kind and accommodating!"

"Robbinswood has been home to my Mother for over 4 years now. Mom says "the meals are home cooked and the best part about it is I don't have to do the dishes". The Nursing staff treats Mom with compassion and there extensive knowledge of Mom's health truly provides comfort to me knowing she is safe and well cared for. Mom loves the activities, her favorites are Walking Club in the Summer and Sit & Be Fit Exercising during the Winter months. I would recommend Robbinswood to anyone looking for excellent Assisted Living Care. "

"American House Spring Lake had gorgeous apartments and the people were very nice, but it's a little too pricey for me. It's got four different divisions where if a person gets sick, they go to the next level, and they don't leave the premises. They had memory care, geriatric care, and sometimes hospice comes in. We saw 2 and 1-bedroom apartments, and they were all nicely laid out and very clean. I wouldn't complain moving in there. They all seemed pretty active, very happy and very cheerful. The staff and the manager were very nice. He even gave me an apple pie. He was very informative and answered all our questions. They showed us a movie room, a library, a sitting room, and place where people play pool. They're very well equipped."
