I toured the independent living community of Baldwin House Lansing for myself. It was a little smaller than the other facility I also toured. It's hard to say from the outside how many units they have, but it's probably 120 units. I would say the facility was nice. They're doing some refurbishing there as well. The apartment is sufficient for me being single. I checked the dining area, and it was very nice. It's restaurant-style. My only concern is that the parking lot is kind of rough. It needs some help, but I'm sure they'll get to that since they are doing construction and upgrading there as well. They only serve one breakfast a week, and the rest of the time, you get a continental breakfast. I guess I'd rather have three meals a day like they had at the other facility I toured. It would suit me better, and it would keep me from shopping.
