"We went to Atria Summit Ridge. The tour was great. The staff who hosted the tour was very informative, very kind, very knowledgeable, and very personable with the residents, which helped my mom's decision. The place was clean and bright as far as the atmosphere. The apartment that we looked at was freshly painted. It's hard. She is going from a two-bedroom place to a studio. We were able to see the walking paths and activity rooms and things like that. We chose Atria because it is a sister community for my mom's senior living, an independent living place, so cost-effective. They waived the community fee. They had some better incentives because it is under the same umbrella. And because we had toured so many, I think my mom was just ready to make a decision and that seemed just a very easy one. It's like three blocks away from where she is. It's where she's been living. So, if she wants to go and visit her residents at her other place to say hi, she can."

"I toured Kiley Ranch Senior Living. They're a very clean facility. The food was fantastic, better than any restaurant I've been to. The guy, the director or whatever he was, took the time to give us a tour and explain everything. It was just a pleasant time there. The only bad thing was the expense. The staff was great. They have an outdoor space and a little mini golf. They have activities, a library, and computers stationed out. I wish they were more affordable."

"Five Star Premier Residences of Reno was nice and clean. I didn't eat there, but it looked like the food was pretty good. They had a bakery-like deal. Most of the units were all carpeted and they're going to take those out. There will just be carpet in the bedrooms, but they're going to put laminate flooring. It's easy to just trip on the rugs and it's hard for people with walkers and wheelchairs on the rugs. The staff told me each time a unit becomes available, they're going to put the wood flooring down. You have your own little kitchen. Some of the units have a big stove and you can cook, but most of them have a microwave. The washers and dryers are only in the big units. You have to go to a washer and dryer down the hall to wash. But they make your beds and they do a lot. The staff who toured me was very accurate and nice. She took her time with me. She was very knowledgeable. She just showed me everything that I asked to see. The building was pretty nice, but it was not brand new. There were patios and balconies. The one I looked at had a patio because it was on the ground floor, and the ones above had balconies."

"My mother-in-law has moved into The Seasons of Reno. The staff is very kind and responsive. The room seemed very clean and well laid out. I couldn't go in because of COVID; I've only seen pictures. The staff was very helpful and patient. They did a little virtual tour with an iPad. They have an activities room that's a multi use room for exercising, crafts and bingo, and they have a community dining room that they're not using right now. They have a little kitchen that can be shared with a big table if you want to have a family meal. I haven't really seen it, but the outside is beautiful. They have a beautiful courtyard that's all well landscaped and well cared for."

"My mom moved into MorningStar Senior Living of Sparks. We chose it because it has everything she needs: great food, people are very nice, the landscaping is nice, and there are many cool areas to sit in and relax. There are a lot of activities, and the rooms are a nice size. They have bingo. They have movies every night. They've got a craft room. They have outings with their van, so they drive them places and take them to all their appointments. They have chair exercises and other stuff going on."

"I moved into Cascades of the Sierra. It's got a nice atmosphere and nice people. My apartment is small but comfortable. The food has been very good. They have a workout gym, a beauty shop for hair and nails, an art studio, 3 libraries, some common rooms, and a real bar."
