"Oakmont of Carmichael was very nice. It looked good on the outside, and it was nice and clean on the inside. It was elegant. The person who helped me was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He has called back to check on me numerous times. The dining area looked good. It was packed, but the residents seemed to be enjoying themselves. They were nice crowds. They have group activities and they were talking about Christmas. They have a library, a music room, and a nice fireplace where you can sit and read. Everything seemed nice and clean. The cleanliness was good."

"Oakmont of East Sacramento was an exceptional facility. It was an fantastic place. The staff, amenities, and facilities were way beyond what I ever expected for my father. Their food, dining area, room set up, and the way the whole campus was set out, you would feel like you're going into a five-star resort. It was not at all like any other assisted living facility I've seen. The staff members cared about you. They take the time to evaluate your needs to get to know you as a person, and they create a caring, loving environment. Their foods were all fresh ingredients. They have seasonal dishes. The waitstaff was terrific. The menu selections were phenomenal. I can't wait to go back and visit my dad when he finally moves in and have dinner. They have everything. They have a gym, a wine cellar, a barbershop spa, and a movie theater with really nice lounge chairs and a huge screen for movies. They have separate dining areas that you can have if you have family visiting, and the dining room was well laid out. They have a cafe, outdoor seating, and the courtyard was beautiful. It was just a nice environment."

"Atria Carmichael Oaks is a very nice place. Everybody liked me. I met a few people that reside there, and I like the place. It's very nice, very clean, and updated. It's just a very nice place to live. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice. I got no complaints at all. I saw a large area for social activities. They have pets that live there as well. There's no pool, but there is a place to gather and work out. Outside, they have a small place where you can walk around. There's a little koi pond, too."

"I went to Summerset Senior Living - Rancho Cordova. I liked the size of the rooms and the way they were laid out. If you wanted two people in a room, there were separate bedrooms with a common area in between. The tour guide was very nice. She took me through the whole place. She showed me all the amenities and the main eating room. She was very helpful. The facility was very clean and easy to maneuver. I thought it was very nice. I felt very comfortable when I walked in the front door. There was activity in the foyer, which told me that a lot of visitors come in there. The lady offered me a cup of coffee while I was waiting for the tour guide. I was very impressed with it."

"I toured the Eskaton Gold River. It was beautiful and everything looked clean, and it was very organized. It's a little far from my doctors and where I live, and that's the only downside. The staff looked very organized too. Everyone seemed to be very friendly. I didn't see many people, but they looked the same as people in senior living facilities. They were pleasant, not very active but they were fine."

"Sto. Thomas Guest Home was not so clean and organized. It was a little bit chaotic although the people were charming. I really enjoyed the couple that were running the place, and they seemed to take joy in the residents. The physical environment was not good, but the people were delightful, very caring, and seemed to have a really good relationship with the residents. It looked like they only had 2 residents at the time. They take them out and there was a lot more interaction than just simple caregiving. Whatever the residents want to eat, they will cook them that meal. The rooms would have been too small for my mom. "
