"Five Star Premier Residences of Reno was very nice. They had all kinds of activities. The place was a mess because they had all kinds of construction going on. They were rebuilding the lobby and adding a brand new theater. The only problem with all these places is I have a certain set income and their charges for a reasonable facility to live in absorb the whole thing. "

"Mom is in Serenity Senior Care. It's a care home. The place smells good. My mother's clean, every morning they bathe her, they wash her hair, they dress her in her clothes. She looks good, and like things match. These people need to feel good about how they look when people come to visit them. I couldn't give her better care than they do. I just feel very comfortable with them. They are right there. Everything's open to you so that you can see. They always will bring me a chair so I can sit with her when I spend my time with her. They are very giving, and to me that's the most important thing. Their food smells really good. They are just wonderful people. They have their big meal at noon and I'd come after and she'll say, "Oh my gosh, you should've seen what they set us today. It was so good." It's very nice, it's in a home, in a residential area, which is kind of nice because there's not that many women in there, so it's very appealing to walk into it, and it looks like you're walking into someone's home. It's very well taken care of."

"My mom is in a home called Evergreen Residence. My sister chose it. She went in and she met the people. It's close to her residence. We also chose it for the price and the fact that they accept waivers. It's an older home. There could be a little bit of upkeep with it, but it's not bad. The staff is very friendly and seems to be taking good care of all the residents. My mom has a bedroom, and it's plenty of room. It was furnished, and so we only had to add one or two things. It's not huge, but it's adequate for a bed, a small chair and a dresser. As far as I know and what I saw, there were no activities. My mom needs a little bit more care than just assisted living. Physically she's able, but mentally she needs a little help and a little prodding. I didn't try the food. Probably the only thing I wish is that it was a little bit more nutritionally conscious, like a bit more fresh vegetables and fresh fruit. But everything looked really good, and my sister thinks my mom likes the food. With regards to value for money, I think they earn every penny that they get, like dealing with medications, dealing with everybody, and there's somebody there all the time. If they need to be up in the night, they're up in the night with them."

"Clearwater at Rancharrah is top notch. You can tell that everything was done really, really nicely. They used really wonderful building materials. It has a really nice high-end feel, like you're going into a five star hotel. The apartments were gorgeous. They made accommodations for the surfaces in the rooms and the layout. The man who built it and envisioned it is an architect. So he has these rooms laid out perfectly for people with walkers and wheelchairs. The floors are a certain texture so the chance of slipping is very minimum. It was very nice and it was beautiful because it's a brand new facility. The person who accommodated me during the tour was very nice; his name was Austin. I emailed him a couple of times, and he e-mailed me back regarding the situation with my father. The dining area was really nice. They had accommodations for the chef to cook in front of you and do cooking lessons. You can eat in different places, like at the bar there's pub food. You have a lot of different options on the kind of food that you can eat and where you can eat it. It was just really beautiful."

"We have found a place for George and that's in Royal Heights, LLC. We actually know the people who own this facility. We were unaware that they owned one before when we were looking. It is a very nice and well-done place. They are licensed for six people and currently they have four. Everybody has his/her own room. There are also three bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a living room. There is also concrete patio outside that they can go out to. It got an access that is primarily for those who are confined to a wheelchair. They can go out there in the daytime. The staff also is excellent and very helpful. Everybody there is well cared for. Also the food is very good. "

"Baileys Group Home is licensed by the state and give more individual attention. There are only six people including my sister. My sister chose to be there at Baileys Group Home. They have an open-door policy, so we can go at any time, take her out, and do things with her. I know that my sister is getting good care. The doctor comes to this home once a month or more if needed. The facility is in a very nice neighborhood and very close, about a half a block, to the big park. The facility, rooms, and bathrooms are all set up for wheelchairs or walkers or people with ambulatory problems. It is very homey. There are dogs running about that can go outside in the back where there are flowers and trees. There’s the homecooking, and they will cook whatever my sister is hungry for at the moment. "

"I visited the facility quite often for the three months that my friend was there. Most of the time the nurses there were with a happy face helping the patients, when I asked information about the well being of my friend the staff was always ready to answer all of my questions. The facility was nice and clean and the way it was decorated was excellent I think. There were pictures everywhere of the patients when they were younger and also I was involved once in one of they're activities which included music and singing. Although a lot of the patients were there with bad circumstances, the environment was calm and smooth, I would say that the patients there felt comfortable. At least that's what I was able perceive. "I moved into St. Anne's Group Home. It's very, very pleasant. It's very small. The are only five other residents here. It's quite structured. The bedrooms are very nice, but some people have to share, so it's two to a room. I'm very fortunate because I have my own room, so it depends on how many people are here. Unfortunately, we lost two last year, so the numbers are down. We've only got five people here now, so it's not a lot. It's not a large place at all, but it's very friendly and it's very well-kept. The staff is very pleasant. We don't have a lot of staff. The food is pretty good and the facility is very nicely appointed. The place is fine. It's very clean."

"My husband moved into Faith & Hope Home Care. I like the caregivers, they're excellent. The staff is wonderful. They are the best. The food is good. They don't do a lot of activities there. It is a small care home, but they have a backyard. I like it best that the caregivers are excellent. All the different bedrooms have different sizes, and my husband is in a bigger room. It is located in a residential neighborhood."
