"We had a caregiver from AMAH's Heart for my father. We had them Monday through Friday for three hours in the morning and they were doing pretty much anything we wanted. They were pretty good in helping him, serving him breakfast in the morning, and doing a little bit of therapy with him. They were keeping him a little bit busy and caring for him so Mom could do her own thing. The caregivers were excellent, super helpful, super kind, flexible, and willing to do whatever we asked. Everything went well."

"We used Interim Grass Valley for almost ten years for the 24/7/365 care of my disabled brother. He was blind, used a wheelchair, and had some developmental issues. There were some fits and starts, and some caregivers were just not up to the task of caring for him. We eventually ended up with a great team. And that was what it was - caregivers, management, and our private case manager. Current management is so easy to work with and is very responsive. I can't say it was like that in the beginning. The local management change was welcomed. (The only time we had to deal with the main office, they reacted quickly to our issue.) My brother needed help with everything - less in the beginning, but more as time went by. We had quarterly "team meetings" to brainstorm and discuss. Some of the most helpful adaptive additions were suggested by caregivers. Despite his limitations my brother loved going out - to concerts, plays, movies, meals, and coffee. The caregivers would get him to all the events that I bought tickets for and even suggest things he might like to do. We introduced opera and accordion music to a couple caregivers. The three caregivers that we had at the time of my brother's passing were awesome. One of them had been with him from the beginning. Another grew from two-hour fill-in help to a really great full-time caregiver. Having hired caregivers ourselves (and it turning out badly) I really feel using an agency is the way to go. They screen the caregivers and try hard to match skills and personalities. We were very happy working with Interim."

"We're using Partners in Care. The biggest things they offered has been good assessment and good recommendations for what I need to have for my friend. The staffing on all the shifts has been good. So far, all the staff people we received have been excellent. They're just aides, not nursing care like home assistance. They help with meals. They help clean up in the kitchen, bathroom, and his room. They change his bed, do his laundry, take his medications to him (they don't give him his medications), and help him with transfers. He's got to be able to do most of the getting up out of bed and into the wheelchair himself, but they assist him with that on standby. We've got two shifts a day with a different person for each shift. We have four caregivers who come back repeatedly, but we still have a number of new people coming in. The big advantage is that if someone can't make it, I have to either cover it or find a caregiver; they provide that coverage, which to me is a huge advantage. We're doing two four-hour shifts, seven days a week. The pricing is a little bit on the higher end of the range, but it's been worth it. The fact that I've not had to worry about all these things has made it very worthwhile. They keep me up-to-date on the scheduling and all those things."

"I can't say enough good things about this company. They really came through for us, and they were consistently kind, caring and professional. We first hired a twice-weekly help for my mom, and they found someone who handled Mom's dementia and personality better than we'd thought possible. Then, when Mom had a catastrophic fall, and we needed twice-daily, hospice-level care "tomorrow!", the staff somehow found us more perfect caregivers to cover all the shifts until Mom passed. Every call, every interaction with the staff and each caregiver was as good as one could hope or better. They really made a wonderful difference to us and to our Mom."
