"Crystal Ridge is in a nice location, very convenient to the main shopping center in Grass Valley if you need to stop by and pick something up for your family member. The facility is clean and attractive. A large number of the residents are bed ridden or in wheelchairs, so it might not be the best choice for someone a little more able bodied. The food served there is all cooked on site and it was decent for institutional food. Most of the staff of Crystal Ridge is friendly and concerned. The physical therapy team did a great job with my mom, and they made the sessions interesting and enjoyable for her. My only complaint is that I sometimes had a hard time getting information about her care. Every department functions independently so you have to ask the right person the right question. For instance, when the social worker told me she was going to be released the next day, the head nurse didn't know anything about it. "

"Spring Hill Manor is an older facility, but it's clean. The only downside is that mom needs soft food because most of her teeth are gone, and they don't provide specific meals for people. They make up whatever the meal is, and then that's what you get. On the other hand, they will help her with bringing her a banana or something soft that she can eat. The other thing is communication to the patients. They don't have in-room phones. They have one cordless phone for the whole wing. The staff changes daily, but most of them that I've dealt with have been pretty concerned with their patients. She's there under medical care, so the insurance and everything else are paying for it."

"The administrative staff at Golden Empire Nursing and Rehab Center was very forthcoming with the information. They were very pleasant and very kind to give me a quick tour. The facility was much brighter than the others. It was clean and quiet. I was very interested in that facility, but the waiting list for an Alzheimer's secure unit was far too long."

"I have had incredible peace of mind since my sister has been in Wolf Creek. My sister is amazingly well cared for, happy and her health is improving. My sister has been in multiple skilled nursing care facilities since 2020 including board and care facilities. It is hard to find good facilities. The quality of care at Wolf Creek is exceptional and impeccable. The staff is caring and quickly responsive and proactive in managing her health issues with the best CNA'S, Nursing staff, physical therapists, activity directors, management and especially social services. I can not recommend this facility highly enough."

"My father-in-law is at Westview Healthcare Center. The general appearance of the facility is old, but the staff is very caring and giving to the patients. They do occupational therapy and physical therapy. They do take him to listen to music, but he is not able to participate in any activities. "

"I stayed at Siena Rehab for 3 weeks for PT & OT after being in a hospital for 5 days. The nurses were helpful and very professional. plus responded to my call push button on my bedside. The PT and OT were excellent, and the treatments were varied and at times FUN. For example, on one machine I had to pedal harder when I wanted the Porcupine, on the screen, to go right, to get under the ballon falling down from the top of the screen, to burst before it hit the ground. The machine kept score and I got better the more times I used it."
