"We toured Vintage at Spanish Springs. I didn't like it because, for one, they don't feed you. Number two, it looked too sterile. It was more like living in a prison. I didn't care for it. The lady who gave us a tour was all nice. It was cheaper than living here, but I didn't like it, and they had a weight room and exercise room."

"The Cascades of the Sierra was beautiful. It's nicely decorated, pleasant, and has a lot of open areas. There are a couple of dining rooms, a fitness center, and a movie theater. It's just top-notch. The memory care residents seemed to be pretty happy. When I came in, they were meeting together in a common area and several of them waved at me and said hello. So. they're very responsive. They weren't highly drugged or anything like that. I volunteer once a month on a Sunday there. We have a ministry, and so I'm acquainted with several of the residents. I know a gentleman from memory care who seems to be able to get around and interact pretty well. That was encouraging that they don't just keep them confined to one place. The staff is very helpful from my volunteer experience, from the tour I had, and from meeting with the contact person. They have a wonderful program where they do activities every week. It's expensive, but I think you get a lot for that if you take advantage of all the things they've got there. I call this place 'the country club' because it's just above and beyond. I know people that have been there or had their relatives there and they were all very pleased."

"Dad is at The Fountains Senior Care. He wanted to be in this facility because he has lots of friends in the area, and this is also the one that we can afford. My understanding of the place is that they can only keep you to a certain level of care, as they don’t have full convalescent care. For me their food seemed sufficient, and Dad hasn’t complained about it at all. "

"Promenade on the River is a beautiful place. The rooms are very, very nice, very well thought out, and beautifully maintained. It is absolutely first class. What it does not have is any guest parking, and that could be a serious concern because it's only on-street parking. It's a residential area, though, and you may or may not find a spot. You may have to walk several blocks instead, and that's difficult. It would be not a good place to try to find a parking space at night. There really aren't any grounds. It's just a building, but it's beautiful, and it has every kind of amenity. It's a well-established place. It's not too big, but without guest parking, that's an issue for me. They have a swimming pool, a hot tub, and various gathering places that are very attractive. They have two restaurants: a casual one and a more formal one. The surroundings are just impeccable; they're to my tastes. They're traditional and the color schemes are lovely. The building dates to 2002, and most of the staff have been there the entire time, which really says a lot. The one other thing besides no guest parking is most of the rooms, at least the affordable ones, have no balcony and no outdoor space to themselves. Most of the new places, as I read online, have either a balcony or a patio, but this place does not. They have eighty-three apartments, and they're all independent. There's no medical care provided by the facility at all. it's exactly what I wanted."

"I have been a resident of Vintage At Sanctuary for a year now. I'm on the second floor, and they have elevators to get up here. They don't provide meals. They provide a lot of activities for seniors though. We have card games three days a week. We have cooking lessons. We have bingo once a week. My unit is pretty roomy for an apartment. It's a one-bedroom. They have studios and one bedrooms, too. The area is not very good. It's got a lot of homeless people and it's just not one I want to go to alone at night. Also, the management here isn't that great."

"I can't say enough good things about Lakeside Manor. Both the residents and staff are friendly and always smiling. My mom recently had to leave because she needed a higher level of care. She was sad to leave and the staff and residents were genuinely sad to see her leave. She was a resident during the COVID 19 pandemic and they did a tremendous job keeping her and the other residents safe. I'm so glad I found Lakeside Manor for my mom."

"Five Star Premier Residences of Reno is a nice place with nice staff and nice food. The rooms were in good shape. I was able to eat there, and the food was good. "

"I'm in Holiday Sky Peaks. I love it. It's great. The food is good. It's right by a shopping mall, which is maybe a mile to two miles away. It's got banks. It's got everything there that we need. They have a bus service that is very good. Everybody here is very friendly. The housekeeping is wonderful. The housekeepers do the lunch and the dinners, and they're off on the weekends. It's just a real wonderful place. I really like it a lot. They got all kinds of activities. They got bingo and card games. They have a nice beauty shop and nail salon. You can talk to the people here. If you have a problem, you go see Bob and he just takes it over. We don't have any stove, but I have my crockpot and I have my new microwave and my coffeepot. I'm pretty satisfied here. We got a refrigerator and I keep stuff in the freezer, and if I want something, I'll do something different. If I want to go down, I go down. They just redone everything in here."

"I saw Vintage Hills about three years ago. I like that the staff was very friendly. The location is excellent because it was right across the street from Walmart, Save Mart, and a dollar store. The thing also that I liked about this facility is that they were not that keen if I had a cat if I would live there. "

"Atria Summit Ridge had an open snack bar and a dining room. It seemed like a very nice place. The people were very lovely and knowledgeable. "

"Vintage At The Crossing is closer to my son. My son has to take me places, so it's just easier for him to get to. The location is very good; I wouldn't be afraid to go out there. They have two bedrooms, but I'll be moving into a one-bedroom. It's a very nice property. The elevators are a nice size. They are twice as big as the ones where I'm at. The staff are very helpful. They have the same activities that we have here, only more. They have a library, a movie theater, and a large exercise center. It has a better atmosphere, and it feels more comfortable."

"I know about Sierra Place Senior Living because I had another relative who lived there 10 to 15 years ago, but I got a good tour. It's a very nice facility. It would have been one that I would have chosen, but my mom preferred the other place. It's clean, well managed, and well organized. The staff was very good and very thorough. It's independent and assisted living. They're intermingled. They are apartments, not divided apart."
