"Atria Carmichael Oaks doesn’t stink when you walk in the door. The facility is beautiful. It is decorated in a fashion that makes it feel like home. The staff are wonderful. They are very helpful and friendly. They address any issue with your room or your apartment that you have. They accommodate and change with the community, so they have a community meeting. They have a really good person who is very personable who transports the residents to shopping areas. They also plan outings. They have all activities in-house, especially for the assisted living side, for those people who are not quite mobile. Their food is just excellent, and they provide food anytime. Their rooms are large enough for quite a bit of furniture. The bedroom has a queen size bed, two dressers, and a walk-in closet. The bathroom is nice and big and very accessible. They also have balconies, and the grounds are beautiful. The price was excellent. "

"I liked Winding Commons. I liked that it was smaller and quaint. I liked the rooms looking out onto the river. There was a little fountain area. I liked that most of the rooms had an outside area. The patios have a little bit more room where you can put chairs and plants. The staff was very nice and answered all our questions. They have a nice outdoor patio where you can eat."

"The people are very friendly and professional at Northstar of Rancho Cordova. They have an onsite nurse and assistant nurses. The memory care unit is secured. You need a code to get in. They are very good at redirecting my father and helping him focus on other things. I am extremely pleased with it. It was set up like a hotel. He has one room and a bathroom, and he has a TV in it with cable access. The food was not fantastic, but it was good and decent. They have activities throughout the day. "

"Pretty much all of the activities that go on here are on the first floor. They have 100 plus apartments and they are in the second and third floor. This community is relatively newer and brighter. They offer independent and assisted living and it is in good location near medical hospital and doctors. We had a good and positive feeling about it. The staff was friendly and attentive but right now it is just based on a couple of visits we had. We looked at their calendar of activities and it appeared that it is an active community. We also looked at their studios and I would say they were a good size, not huge, but they're appropriate. "

"I believe all the facilities we visited in Sacramento is good, but when we visited Regency Place Assisted Living, we found it to be excellent. It is very nice. It is as nice as it was 25 years ago. My in-laws were there 25 years ago, so it is the first facility we visited. The only thing preventing us to go is that they did not have a 1-bedroom available. They only have a studio type open. The staff is very good, nice, kind, and very informative. They have activities going on like tours. Everything was excellent. "

"I toured Blossom Vale Senior Living. I liked the actual studio apartment. It was very nice. It had fake wood floors, but they were beautiful. It had a great enclosed deck area looking out to trees and a garden. I only met some people, but they were very friendly, nice, and pleasant. It was clean. It has two living areas and a dining room. It's smaller but homey and comfortable. I think it would be really good for someone who needed a smaller atmosphere."

"This is a lovely home that provides compassionate, caring assisted living. The wonderful staff has worked there for years, something that is unusual for most care centers. The home is very nice with private rooms and includes a beautiful outside area with places to sit and a vegetable garden. Camelia and her staff cared for my mother through illness, dementia, and finally hospice. She was always attentive, welcoming, and returned phone calls and text messages promptly. We were able to visit my mom often, celebrate birthdays, and be with her during hospice care. Camelia was also quite helpful with providing paperwork for long-term care insurance. I highly recommend Friendly Care Home"

"We absolutely love Camden Springs Gracious Retirement Living. We got my father into a studio. It's still expensive, but a reasonable price. They've been great and I guess the management lives on the premises. They've been very in touch with us. My father just moved in recently and we needed to get his cable hooked up and we were having some problems with that. Even the management called me yesterday to take care of it. So they are very, very involved. My father is happy, he's loving it there because everybody is great, in a great mood, very nice, and very kind, even the workers are nice. It's been really, really good. We're very happy with it. We actually had friends that were there before him so we were really aware of it to begin with. Everybody was very polite and friendly. My father loves the food. He tells me it's delicious. He'll call me and let me know what he's eating that day. The facility is nice and in good shape. They have quite a busy schedule, but everything's different right now cause it's COVID, so they're not doing a lot of stuff. From what it looks and appears like, it seems like there's quite a bit they can do when everything is gonna be back to normal. All these kind of places were expensive, but I think this one is rated special for what we got. We were able to get him into a studio with a kitchenette for $2,600 dollars. It might be the smallest studio, but he's real happy with it. He thinks it's great. The size is fine too, so we're real happy. "

"For me, WellQuest of Elk Grove was perfect. I wanted a cottage and they do have cottages there. The cottages just opened a year ago, so they're new and I like that. They were friendly and they had a library, a fitness center, a beauty salon, activities room where you could play cards, a dining room, and a movie room. The first two levels of the main building are mainly different rooms for different activities. The food is excellent, too. They gave us a test to try the food and it was very good."

"We toured Carlton Senior Living of Orangevale. It seemed too institutionalized. It didn't feel homey and friendly. Even though it was nice and clean, and very organized, you just get a feeling that you're in an institution. It used to be a drug rehab place. There's also a move-in fee. The person that gave us the tour was very good. We went into the dining room but there wasn't a very inviting feeling, like seeing a group of people eating in there. Everyone there feels kind of separated, it doesn't have a community feel where you'd see somebody, wave to them, or walk over to their table. It didn't have that same feeling. The facility has been there a long time and has changed hands at times. They've gone in and redone everything, and it's really nice, but had a very cold feeling. The rooms there were all about the same. It was very quiet with hardly anybody out; they were all in the rooms."

"Some of the apartments that The Terraces of Roseville showed us weren't ready yet. In hindsight, they probably weren't ready to show. They offered the same activities as other senior communities. As a visitor, my impression of the staff was pretty good. Their dining area looked good, and I liked that you can dine anytime you want, which I thought was a bonus. This means that the residents don't have to go to their meals at an exact time. The amenities looked fine, and it was a pretty attractive place with modern decor. They also have gardens and outdoor spaces."

"My father has lived here for four months now. I work from his room, so I know what goes on every day, Monday - Friday. The care staff is always very friendly and cheerful. They seem to have a sincere concern about my dad’s well being. They are patient and kind. The management was very thorough and understanding when I visited. The food is restaurant-style excellent! My dad and I are both very pleased with our choice to have him live here. He told me the other day, “I’m pretty well cared for!” I’m so glad we both feel he is in a safe and happy home.
