"I am looking at choosing Blossom Vale Senior Living for my parents. It was an excellent place. Natalie was the one that toured us, and she was very good at her job. She could answer all the questions. And also, my in-laws are moving in there as well, so it worked out well. We went back with my in-laws and we had dinner there, and it was really good. We started with a studio. It was an extra large studio with a separate bedroom. So, that was nice. We saw the one-bedroom apartment and it was a very nice size, and then the two-bedroom was like a small apartment. It was very nice. They had the pull cords and they had small kitchens, but with everything in it. The courtyard was very pretty. The dining facility was very nice. They had a beauty salon, a theater, and a library. They had special events, like every Tuesday, they have Taco Tuesday and margaritas. It just makes it fun for the residents."

"I toured Ivy Park at Roseville. I saw two apartments there and both were great, really nice, and would be perfect for my mother. The staff was well-informed, very friendly, and communicated extremely well. For activities, they were making ice cream sundaes or something, and it was a fairly popular thing when I was there. I was like, 'There's a lot of people waiting to get one of these things.'"

"It was hard to park and get into Creekside Oaks Retirement Community, but once we got in and found out that they were having all the furniture replaced (that has to be done), we were pretty happy. Looking around the facility, everyone's smiling and happy and just on the way to doing something and not people sitting there in a wheelchair. I had a good impression of them. Renee was very friendly. I've spoken with her a bunch of times since, and so has my mom, and they're just checking on her, making sure if she has any questions or anything. So, the follow-up was good. Renee knew the inside and out of that building like it was her own house, which I was pretty impressed with. She showed us three different rooms and they were all beautiful. We only used one dining area, although they had others, and the food there was excellent. The staff was really good, professional, and friendly. The cook was fantastic."

"I went to Ansel Park Independent Living. It's very clean. The apartment that I looked at was spacious for independent living. The dining room is elegant. Everybody seemed very happy with the home. They have a beauty shop and take appointments, which is very nice. There were people playing games. People were so friendly, and I asked if they were happy, and everyone I asked said yes."

"I'm going to be in here. I already had paid the rent, so I'm moving a few things in. I visited six different places, and it seems homier, and I wanted a two-bedroom apartment because I have a lot of furniture. I have a piano, an organ, a computer, and all those things. It had big rooms, they have pretty good food, and it was three meals a day. They have breakfast at 8:00, lunch at 12:30, and dinner at 5:30, just the way I like it. The apartment I have has nice big trees and so forth outside the window. It's very nice scenery. One thing I like is they provide us with a pendant. You can either call them or you can call 911. It's got GPS, so they know exactly where you are. I've had trouble with broken bones and falling like if I'm out shopping and I should fall and hurt myself if I press that and it will say 911, they will send the paramedics and they will know exactly where I am. I don't have to tell them because the pendant tells them. That's one of the selling points that I liked. Other places have in each bedroom and the bathroom a cord you can pull, but you have to be in the place where the cord is. This pendant, no matter where you are, you've got it on and it will help you. There are lots of activities. I play the piano and the organ, and the lady in charge was quite interested. She's going to have me play the piano. They have a grand piano there. I will have a piano in my apartment, too. That's another thing, the music, and everything. I like the idea of having meals with a lot of people because I like to have lots of company. I want to keep my car, but I might go with them on excursions occasionally. They do have those. It's very clean and everything's very handy. Everything's kept up. The staff members I met were very nice and very helpful. The food was good. A couple of it was excellent. Besides meals, they have housekeeping and they do your sheets once a week and clean your apartment once a week."

"My mom will move into Cogir of Stock Ranch Senior Living. We loved Dale. He was wonderful. He showed us all around. I loved the facilities, and when we walked in, I got a good feeling, and my mom did as well. The people were very friendly, nice, and engaging, and everything was very comfortable. It just smelled clean and new, and she loved it. The room was small, but it's probably good for her. We had to downsize a lot, and it had a full kitchen. I asked if they had covered parking, and he said yes. We had lunch, and she was happy with it. Dale said you can pretty much get whatever you want. I had tuna, and she had a ham sandwich. The food looked great, and it was good. The dining area was a good size, with lots of tables and chairs, and it was really nice."

"Whom to entrust the care and well-being of a loved one is not an easy decision. We moved our mom to the Memory Care unit at Eskaton Village Roseville just over 2 years ago and have never felt an ounce of regret. The staff is caring and attentive and the overall experience has been phenomenal. From top to bottom we can't say enough about how the Eskaton team works together to ensure all her needs are met. "I chose Revel Folsom because they have more activities than anyone else. They have a swimming pool, water aerobics and a full bar and two restaurants. I like the people. They have stretching classes and dancing. It was a little bit cheaper than the others, too. The staff was wonderful. I broke my leg, and they sent me lunch, even."

"We toured Oakmont of Westpark. I liked everything about the place. There wasn't anything that I would say was bad. They even had a few patio places that you could get. The only thing I would go against is that it's too far away from the area where I live. The food was just average, but the grounds were good, and I loved the rooms. They were some of my favorite rooms there, but it's too far from my home."

"I moved to El Dorado Estates Gracious Retirement Living, and I like this place. I like that I have my own private little apartment that has a nice little patio, so I can get fresh air. I have a one-bedroom, and it's plenty of room. I was surprised at how I got my furniture to fit so well. It has a lot of storage. I get three meals a day, and they even have soft-serve ice cream I can get at any time. The residents and the staff are also very friendly. Sometimes the food is really good, but sometimes it's not. I don't like everything, but it's good food, and it is healthy. They also have a good variety, and you can choose what you want to eat. The place has just been redone, and it's beautiful. It's very clean, and the grounds are well-kept and well-maintained. It is decorated very nicely. They have games like Bingo, chair volleyball, and Mexican Train. They have arts and crafts and all kinds of activities. They have a movie theater with a different movie every day that they show twice a day."
