My brother moved to Truewood by Merrill, Roseville. He's happy with maybe 90% of the food because he's picky sometimes. He likes going without saying he's leaving. He's just on his own a little bit more, not having to be somebody watching him and telling him he can't be doing something. So he's very happy being there right now. They do the housekeeping once a week. They do the bedding and towels once a week. You have to do your own laundry. They will take care of things if you need to. They always have care people there that will do extra if you need it. They have a little gym. They have a salon. They have a lot of crafts and things that go on like that. He joins in on the social time that they have, I believe once a week. So he's happy there. It's close to me. It's closer than his last place. We see him at least 3 or 4 times a week instead of once a week or once every two weeks. Everybody's very helpful.

I had an in-person tour of Truewood by Merrill. It was a great walk-through. I liked the apartment. It was big enough and had closet space. The food was okay. The staff was very nice. They had studios, a small one-bedroom, and two bedrooms. Their prices were reasonable. They had the usual amenities, like transportation and housecleaning. They had a beauty salon.

We toured Truewood by Merrill, Roseville. It was very, very nice and beautiful. It's located in the really good part of Roseville. I loved it. I'd go there when I get old. Nice dining room with really beautiful floors. They have their own chef and sous chef, so they're not contracted out employees. They have been there many, many years. They have really cute rooms, and they're updated. They don't have a stove or oven, so you're going downstairs and eating two meals a day. You have your bigger meal in the afternoon and then a lighter meal for dinner and then your breakfast. They have gourmet coffee served all day and dessert. They're homemade by their chef. They put the desserts in the refrigerator, and you can have a dessert any time you want. It's really nice. It's a nice, clean place. It's all surrounded by oak trees. I like it. My contact person took us on a tour, and she invited us there for lunch and it was delicious. We both had a Cobb salad, really great. It was a great place.

I'm going to be in here. I already had paid the rent, so I'm moving a few things in. I visited six different places, and it seems homier, and I wanted a two-bedroom apartment because I have a lot of furniture. I have a piano, an organ, a computer, and all those things. It had big rooms, they have pretty good food, and it was three meals a day. They have breakfast at 8:00, lunch at 12:30, and dinner at 5:30, just the way I like it. The apartment I have has nice big trees and so forth outside the window. It's very nice scenery. One thing I like is they provide us with a pendant. You can either call them or you can call 911. It's got GPS, so they know exactly where you are. I've had trouble with broken bones and falling like if I'm out shopping and I should fall and hurt myself if I press that and it will say 911, they will send the paramedics and they will know exactly where I am. I don't have to tell them because the pendant tells them. That's one of the selling points that I liked. Other places have in each bedroom and the bathroom a cord you can pull, but you have to be in the place where the cord is. This pendant, no matter where you are, you've got it on and it will help you. There are lots of activities. I play the piano and the organ, and the lady in charge was quite interested. She's going to have me play the piano. They have a grand piano there. I will have a piano in my apartment, too. That's another thing, the music, and everything. I like the idea of having meals with a lot of people because I like to have lots of company. I want to keep my car, but I might go with them on excursions occasionally. They do have those. It's very clean and everything's very handy. Everything's kept up. The staff members I met were very nice and very helpful. The food was good. A couple of it was excellent. Besides meals, they have housekeeping and they do your sheets once a week and clean your apartment once a week.

We toured here. It was very nice, I liked it. The room was quite a good size. The only person I had any dealings with was the person who showed us around, and she was very nice. They had a gym but no pool. They had a barbershop. I saw some residents there, but didn't speak with them. It's close to all the conveniences. I just had a good impression of it.

It was very pleasant. The only reason why I didn't pick them is because my aunt wanted a downstairs unit and they only had third floor units available, and their apartments were very small. Otherwise, they're a definite 5-star facility. The amenities and everything is beautiful. The people were very nice, and it's a beautiful place.

It was very nice. The only reason it's not my top pick is because it's across town, and I'd like something closer to where we live. They provide games, grocery shopping, lunch in the casino, and other outings. The interior of the apartment was very nice, and the staff was very nice. They have laundry, and a salon.

I've been here for a little while and I'm well pleased with the place. I am a happy with the decision I made. Everything is furnished, you don't have to do anything, and it seems to fit me fine. The rooms are adequate, roomy, and suite my tastes exactly. The staff is very friendly, helpful, very courteous, and nothing's bad about them so far. The food is good and there seems to be plenty of activities.

It seemed very nice. It was great and the people who did the tour were very nice. I met some of the residents there and I enjoyed it. The staff was all pleasant and I didn't meet anybody who wasn't. The apartments were very nice. Some were spacious, and some were tiny, which I didn't like. I liked the activities they had there, and I liked the kitchen. The food was very well-prepared. If someone's looking for a place like this, I would recommend it.

I visited here, and everybody seemed friendly. The location was good -- it's on a busy street, so it's accessible to buses, but not close enough to stores to the point she could walk to them. They had some card games and arts and crafts, and the people that live there dress nicely for lunch. The staff were very friendly, very persistent, and fully informed.

Everybody is very friendly, and the place is very clean. Mom really liked the room she got, and she brought in her cats. She gets three meals a day. It is very safe and secure, and it is close to where I live. It has all what we needed, the staff is very good, and there is always somebody on the premises. They are accommodating and helpful.

I like the friendliness here. It’s very pleasant. I like the idea of having a bedroom, a living room, bathroom, and a kitchenette. I was looking for a place that had bible stud,y and this one does. The staff is wonderful. They’ve been able to answer all of my questions. I meet staff members in the hallways or in the dining room, and they’re very cordial. I like the way they serve the food. They would go in to have a meal. They ask if you’d like to have another person come sit with you.

I saw a more active group here. I went there because a lot of people at the other facility that I used were familiar with this facility. It’s kind of a good location because it’s not that far from the other facility that we visit for medical services, so I thought it would be smart to give it a go. It was a very nice facility and it is a relatively new facility, so it’s very warm and inviting. The place is extremely clean, the staff was very nice, and I felt that the people there were more into pressuring people to make a quick decision, and that is something that you really need to think about quite a bit before you make your final move because those were more prominent moves. I didn’t see any vehicles for transporting people, but they do exercises, they play bingo, cards, and they had a library. Excellent accommodation.

The only other care facility experience I have was with my grandmother, who was in here. She was actually in the independent all the way up until the end. I liked everything about the facility. The managers were great. Everybody who was there was great, very compassionate, very supportive. They were very accommodating to people who had different diets, but the food was always really good when we ate there. At the last month of her life, we ate there a lot, so it was nice, and while she was going through hospice, they were more than willing to bring meals up to us or let us come down. I can't complain at all about how she was treated while she was there. They had a lot of stuff. There was something going all the time. Every night, they had an activity where they could go downstairs and there would be something like a card game, and then throughout the day, they would have like a Wii bowling tournament here or a bridge tournament there, and they would take them on field trips to various places. Not only did they bus them to church if they wanted to go to church, but on Sundays they had a rotating minister who would come. It was a fantastic place for her. She lived there for nine years. Since it opened, she'd been there. I know that there are still several people who my mom kept in contact with. They still live there, and they have lived there since it opened.
