"Before we first started, Journey came to our home to see what would be required and where my mother would be taken care of. We only had one caregiver from Senior Helpers. My mother has dementia and other health issues. The caregiver does her job wonderfully. My mother was very private person. She's even uncomfortable with me helping her to shower but the caregiver we had put her at ease. She kept my mom very comfortable. She was the perfect fit from the start. They normally require a 4-hour visits each time and we couldn't afford that. They tried to find somebody who would be willing to split the 4 hours. "Sometimes Partners in Care are backed up and I've asked them on occasion to increase the time for the person caring but they seem like they're overextended sometimes. But right now, they got mom a person who is willing and able to take care of my mother. At the beginning they were sending people that were really young and she could not relate to them that much but now she got somebody that talks to her and so forth and helps her out a lot. She is finally happy because it is somebody that can be there a lot. I've requested additional time from Partners in Care before from their caregivers and a lot of the time they say everybody is scheduled out. They're good but they're not great."
