Memory Care Communities in Granite Bay, CA

"My mother will be moving into Summerfield of Roseville. I had a really good vibe and feeling when we walked through and did the tour. All the residents seemed genuinely happy. The room was very nice. It was the only place that I found that came with a furnished private room. It had lots of room. Everything was nice and bright. It didn't seem depressing. The menu looked very good, and there were multiple choices. They have a large outdoor area where you can walk, do your own gardening, or feed the squirrels. My mom likes to be outside and plant flowers, and that gives her the opportunity."

"We had chosen WellQuest of Granite Bay for my mom. The tour was good. I was very impressed with it. They showed us a unit. We're going to bring in our own furniture though. They're very nicely equipped, but in memory care, they don't have a kitchen. They have a very nice outdoor area. They even take the residents out on walks. They have trails, and they can do exercises in the heated swimming pool. The dining room is amazing, and the food is really good. And, as a participant, you can pay for lunch or dinner and then you can have a meal with your parent. The staff who toured us was great. She was very knowledgeable. There's nothing available right now, so we are on a waiting list for memory care. It's fine though because we don't want to do it till July anyway. It's pretty brand new, so everything is nice. I also like that outside each door, there's a little showcase where the residents can put in their memorabilia, so they can find their room, and in the memory care they always have somebody with them. I think that's pretty nice to have that."

"My mother has moved into Roseberry Care. It's a memory care facility, and I'm pleased with its services overall. The interaction with the staff is very good. The room is a two-person room. They have single rooms. The facility is well-appointed, nicely decorated facility. They do all kinds of therapy, they provide food, they provide outings, and they have entertainment come in for the residents. They bring beauticians in to pamper the residents."

"I toured Diamond Oaks Residential Care and it was a very clean, and neat facility. The people were very polite and knowledgeable. Sounded like their food was going to be excellent, and it could be a peaceful place for someone too. It is a four-bedroom house. They had a backyard."

"The staff are all amazing. They treat my mom like she is their family."

"When my mom and I toured, there were two private rooms available. They would share the spacious bathroom just a few feet away. The house is comfy and clean. Veronica, one of the owners showed us around. Currently, the tenants are two women and two men, and they were very friendly. As we were leaving my mom said to me, now that's more like it. I think she liked it, but we're still looking."

"My mother and I toured this place. I had an appointment with Maria, but Rich (her husband) showed us around. No big deal, but worth noting. The house is on the smaller side, but in a nice neighborhood near a golf course. The house was very clean and homey, but seemed kind of dark to me. The available room was the master, very spacious, en suite bathroom and small side patio. Rich told me that in the spring, they plant lots of fruits and vegetables and I felt that was a nice touch. There are currently no women residents and my mom would be alone. The social aspect is important to us, so we'll be passing on this place."

"I had an appointment in Angels Assisted Living Inc. and there was nobody there to talk to me. They weren't aware I was coming. Somebody opened the door. Didn't know who I was and just led me from room to room. I don't have much comment about the room."

"The senior community I like next would be the Meadow Oaks of Roseville. The salesperson that showed us around was very good. The nursing there seemed excellent, too. We talked to her, and I'd say she was very good as well. The receptionists were OK. The rooms were small. They did not have as much room. They were like 400 square feet. They're very tiny. They have a nice kitchenette area, though. I'd have to say their kitchenette (the way they have it laid out) is nice, but those rooms needed to be bigger at least for our father. They have a beauty salon. They have an activity room with bingo and everything. It's one great big room, and that was nice. In the center part, where the rooms overlook, they have a little courtyard. It's a smaller facility. For a small facility, I thought it was very nice."

"Pine Grove Residential Home Care for the Elderly is a care house that has six residents in it. It is very clean and very nice. It's a bit farther from my house. The owner was very nice. She sat down with us and talked to us for as long as we needed to ask questions, and she answered every one of them. However, I don't think that is the environment for my mom. Even though they have activities, there are not as many activities as the other place has. The staff member there is a cardiovascular nurse. There is also always somebody there. It's more of an intimate kind of setting versus a big, institutionalized kind of place. Everybody there seemed to be happy. However, I think my mom would thrive better in a community where she could have more options for activities. It's a beautiful setting. They showed us all the rooms; they showed us around the whole home. They introduced us to the people, too, and it was very nice. She didn't have any rooms available at the time, and that was okay because we didn't know when my mother was going to get out of the facility that she's in now."

"My mother-in-law received wonderful, loving care from all the staff and caregivers from Eskaton Fountainwood in Orangevale, California. From the cooks, wait staff, laundry helpers, everyone was kind and loving to my mom, Mary. Such good care with compassion."

"My mom is a resident of Brookdale Roseville. We can't visit her because of the lockdown, but when we go and visit her, they open up the window so that we can talk to her from outside. Of course, she likes it there. There is no problem. The people are really nice. They have lots of activities. They do bingo nights, and they do all kinds of arts and crafts. They keep them busy. We only met a couple of the people on their staff, but the people there are very nice and very friendly. They promised they would take care of my mom. I would give their facilities the top rating. We had one minor problem with them, but that was a miscommunication problem, and that was it."

"I am very fortunate for the high level of care Friendly Care Home II provided to my Grandmother for 7 years. Safety and daily care were very important for my Grandmother who had dementia. The house is large and always clean. Flowers and seasonal decor are always on the dining table. Homemade food and friendly care givers. "

"Toly and his excellent and caring staff provided wonderful sensitive care for our parents, first our Mom, who passed in 2017 in her early 90s and then for our Dad, 94, who passed earlier this year. We are fortunate in our family to have 4 like-minded siblings who were active with our parents, particularly our sister who lives close by, in Folsom. At all times, Toly and his staff were attentive to us and to our parents, and were pro-active in all matters involving health and comfort. They often went above and beyond with professional service and listening - and would let us know whenever issues came up. They are patient and caring people, and there was very little staff turnover - Clarissa managed with a firm hand and a caring touch, with the staff, with our parents and with us. We are so grateful for everyone and how they made our lives and our parents' lives richer. Our Mom and Dad resided at two of the All Seasons of Life facilities in Orangevale - both were large beautiful homes, designed with the six residents in mind, and great attention is paid to furnishings, mobility, open spaces, entertainment, kitchen and dining, sunlight, and greenery everywhere. They are secure, and equipped with the latest electronics so that the staff are made aware of any issues (e.g., falls, door openings, etc.) immediately and are always on the spot.
