"I like the aesthetic of Oakmont of Fair Oaks assisted living. It doesn't look like a nursing home and that's important to me. The staff was very easy to talk to and very pleasant. I even got a little take-home gift for myself. They're very accommodating, answered all my questions, introduced me to some of the staff, and invited me back for a meal. Overall, it's very good. They offer everything. All of the facilities that I have seen offer pretty much the same thing. This one has quite a few too and it's a fairly new facility. It's one of the places that if I was ready to do it right now, I think that's where I would want to go."

"Everything about Sunrise of Fair Oaks was great. It was decorated very nice. It seemed very homelike, and the people were very nice. They took my temperature. They checked my vaccination card, and they were all wearing masks. It just seemed very clean. One thing I liked about there is they had pets there. Some people had dogs. There were some cats outside, and they had a bunny. I looked at the menu, and it seemed good. I talked to the chef, and he seemed very knowledgeable and caring."

"We had chosen WellQuest of Granite Bay for my mom. The tour was good. I was very impressed with it. They showed us a unit. We're going to bring in our own furniture though. They're very nicely equipped, but in memory care, they don't have a kitchen. They have a very nice outdoor area. They even take the residents out on walks. They have trails, and they can do exercises in the heated swimming pool. The dining room is amazing, and the food is really good. And, as a participant, you can pay for lunch or dinner and then you can have a meal with your parent. The staff who toured us was great. She was very knowledgeable. There's nothing available right now, so we are on a waiting list for memory care. It's fine though because we don't want to do it till July anyway. It's pretty brand new, so everything is nice. I also like that outside each door, there's a little showcase where the residents can put in their memorabilia, so they can find their room, and in the memory care they always have somebody with them. I think that's pretty nice to have that."

"We went here for a tour, and it was a very nice place. They were fantastic. The place is clean, and it didn’t smell like medicine. The rooms were nice, and it's two people per room. I surely would recommend this place."

"I had an appointment in Angels Assisted Living Inc. and there was nobody there to talk to me. They weren't aware I was coming. Somebody opened the door. Didn't know who I was and just led me from room to room. I don't have much comment about the room."

"My Uncle had the pleasure of staying at this facility and was very satisfied with the staff, cleanliness, and the care that was given to him. Everyone was caring and thoughtful with his needs. I highly recommend their care."

"Candlelight Home Care was nice. The rooms were very nice. The food looked appetizing. The people looked happy there. It was a home, and the managers were very agreeable and very easy to work with."

"I saw Meadow Oaks of Roseville. It was very clean, very nice, but the rooms were extremely small. They provide about the same things as the others, but the staff was very nice. The dining area looked very nice, too."

"We toured Vista Roseville Senior Living. It was very nice. The staff was helpful. The one thing we didn't care about was the music they played all the time. We felt that wasn't something my sister-in-law would care for. It wasn't very relaxing. It was upbeat. Maybe they don't have that all the time, but that music going was a little intrusive. The apartments were very nice and well taken care of. The accommodations there for the food and everything looked very nice."

"When my mom and I toured, there were two private rooms available. They would share the spacious bathroom just a few feet away. The house is comfy and clean. Veronica, one of the owners showed us around. Currently, the tenants are two women and two men, and they were very friendly. As we were leaving my mom said to me, now that's more like it. I think she liked it, but we're still looking."

"I went to The Terraces of Roseville. It's a very fine facility, its very clean, and it's organized. The tour guide, Keri, was very, very, friendly and accommodating. It was a super-good experience. The dining area was fantastic, it was filled with newer furniture, and it was very clean and well organized. The residents looked happy too. The rooms were adequate, clean, and probably the best I've seen so far. They have all kinds of games. There's an exercise room, a shuffleboard table, I believe, and all kinds of activities -- too many to list. They have cards, bridge, and a media room where they can watch movies and all that kind of stuff."

"We are not at that point yet, but Brookdale Folsom would be the preference for us if my mother were to go into a facility. I liked it because they had a lot of activities and different functions that one could select from. It is a beautiful and very clean facility. The staff members were very helpful in answering questions. Overall, they put on a nice tour. They showed us different options of rooms, like an apartment versus a studio. They also took us into a unit that was being renovated, and it was very nice. One of the sales or marketing people took her time with us. She didn't rush us. She answered all our questions. Because this was our first time on this journey, she also brought up some very good points for us to think about. She followed up with phone calls, not to pressure us, but was like, "Hey, how's it going? What else can we do to help you?" We're very impressed. They would like us to bring my mother back over there when she gets out of the facility that she's in now. They wanted her to meet some people and have lunch with them, so that we could also sit down and have lunch. However, we didn't want any meal on the day we were there because we had just eaten. The place was so clean, and it smelled nice. It wasn't musky like some of them were. The way it is laid out is easier for someone who might not have all their faculties. Like they know how to get to the elevator, and they have assistance there. It is really good. I'm really impressed with it."

"We liked Oakmont of Folsom. Nicole is amazing. She still calls us just to see how my dad's doing. She's just a caring individual. The staff was excellent. We had a meal there, and the food was delicious. The dining area was very nice, like a fancy restaurant. The rooms were spacious and clean. They made the residents feel at home, you can bring your own furniture, your photos, and your memory wall out front. They had a lot of activities on a calendar, like on a whiteboard for the residents to do.There was a lot for them to be engaged with."
