"We had chosen WellQuest of Granite Bay for my mom. The tour was good. I was very impressed with it. They showed us a unit. We're going to bring in our own furniture though. They're very nicely equipped, but in memory care, they don't have a kitchen. They have a very nice outdoor area. They even take the residents out on walks. They have trails, and they can do exercises in the heated swimming pool. The dining room is amazing, and the food is really good. And, as a participant, you can pay for lunch or dinner and then you can have a meal with your parent. The staff who toured us was great. She was very knowledgeable. There's nothing available right now, so we are on a waiting list for memory care. It's fine though because we don't want to do it till July anyway. It's pretty brand new, so everything is nice. I also like that outside each door, there's a little showcase where the residents can put in their memorabilia, so they can find their room, and in the memory care they always have somebody with them. I think that's pretty nice to have that."

"It was an older facility but it was very nice and airy. It has a nice backyard where they could garden if they want to, there was a walking path which was pretty long and it was gated. They had a nice game room and everything was very clean, neat and new looking. I watched the helpers and they were very kind with the residents. I’ve been there for lunch and it was very nice and the food was nutritious which I liked. I was very impressed because they didn’t try to impress me."

"I had an appointment in Angels Assisted Living Inc. and there was nobody there to talk to me. They weren't aware I was coming. Somebody opened the door. Didn't know who I was and just led me from room to room. I don't have much comment about the room."

"Brookdale is an older establishment, and their dining room was a bit smaller, but they were all great. "

"Gary, my friend, has moved into Candlelight Home Care. It is very clean and very hospitable. The people are really friendly. The owner and his wife show that they really care about their senior family. My friend has been there a month now, and the staff has gone above and beyond to help him. So far, they're really good to him. He needs social activity, but he certainly doesn't get it there because the six other residents all have dementia. "

"The tour I had at Meadow Oaks of Roseville was pretty good. The apartments were really nice and the perfect size and pretty clean. I just saw people eating and that's about it. The staff showed me the dog park, the activities room, and the puzzle room. I just saw the main common rooms and a few of the apartments. The facility was very well maintained. They provide transportation. It's a perfect assisted living facility."

"We toured Vista Roseville Senior Living. It was very nice. The staff was helpful. The one thing we didn't care about was the music they played all the time. We felt that wasn't something my sister-in-law would care for. It wasn't very relaxing. It was upbeat. Maybe they don't have that all the time, but that music going was a little intrusive. The apartments were very nice and well taken care of. The accommodations there for the food and everything looked very nice."

"We chose Summerfield of Roseville for my friend because of the staff and the arrangement of the room. It was clean. They have a salon and outside activities."

"When my mom and I toured, there were two private rooms available. They would share the spacious bathroom just a few feet away. The house is comfy and clean. Veronica, one of the owners showed us around. Currently, the tenants are two women and two men, and they were very friendly. As we were leaving my mom said to me, now that's more like it. I think she liked it, but we're still looking."

"Residents are in a family-like environment. Never left in their rooms and lots of visual stimulation. The primary caregiver, Chris, is truly a loving and caring person."

"I toured Brookdale Roseville. It was clean. It was tidy. The people were very nice. I think the rooms were okay, but I did like the people that worked there. I thought they were very knowledgeable, very helpful, very kind, and very willing to work with me. They have a courtyard."

"My mom will be moving into Brookdale Folsom. It was a clean facility. We like the all the staff we talked to, and it was just a very positive experience. The place is well maintained, and they're in the process of doing a few upgrades. Everything was basically just well-maintained. The apartments were very nice and very clean. The one that we chose for my mom, they are going to go through next week. They will make sure everything's working, clean, and whatever; thay way it is ready to go in time when she gets there. Their location is excellent. It's actually almost across the street from Mercy General Hospital, so that's kind of convenient. They have a menu that you can order breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a separate movie room, and there is a separate area for people who like to put together puzzles or play cards. They allow the residents to decorate the outside their doors. It's a very nice dining hall. They even have an area where they can go out back to have barbecues. The residents can invite their family to come over, and the families can do a barbecue outside."

"It seems so many reviews of communities are written by disgruntled family members so I thought it was important to share a positive one. My brothers and I love Oakmont and (most importantly) so does my dad. Caring, funny staff that like my dad and show him respect; great environment that is modern and full of light that makes it joyful for us to visit, and, of course, caregivers we trust and rely on. We’re so happy my dad lives there!"
